This is the best instructional video I've ever seen. No light no pilot. Tested door switch its was triggered. Purged system Got the burner going. shut it down clean burner and swept the floor. ordered a window vent 18x18 to replace corroded one. Burner works like a charm.

Just like to add some info here. For my case, the voltage does fall in the normal range: can reach 730 mV, but the pilot light cannot hold, once the knob is released, the light goes off, and also eventually the status code shows as 2 - low voltage. The thermopiles have been replaced when initial issue is found - low voltage. Searched the videos on KZbin, some think it is the case - the gas control is out of function. My AO gas water heater is less than 6-year-old.

How do you know your spark igniter is providing enough spark

No switch on burner door. Pilot lights burner comes on but does not make temp... gas valve ?

Older video, I know....but you didn't mention gas valves with no reset.....and you have an overheat or smother condition. I had a smother condition(high water in basement) and I believe the whole gas valve must be replaced. There is a garbled sticker on gas valve that seems to say that. Is that your experience?

what if the boiler is working the gas is on and alight but still no hot water ?
