Besides, there's PLENTY of deer out there, and it tastes MUCH better than wolf, so let the wolves continue to be Nature's Cleaners, and let the wolves naturally keep down the MASSIVE deer numbers across the US and Canada.

@@hawgood91 Pssst, stupid, READING COMPREHENSION ISSUES?? Show where I stated 'Arctic' (btw, not spelled 'Artic' ya hapless mook)?? Again, as I rightly stated, there has been an explosion of deer (especially Whitetails) in various parts of North America, including my area of New England. In the early 1900s, there was an estimated 500,000 Whitetail Deer in the US, as too much hunting almost wiped out the species. Conversely, too much hunting regulation, along with the ELIMINATION OF BIG PREDATORS LIKE MOUNTAIN LIONS AND WOLVES IN SPECIFIC REGIONS has caused the Whitetail population to explode to over 25 MILLION today. wildlifecontrol.info/cornell-deer-study/deer-populations/ The above link is one of MANY links to help enlighten you, mook. For the next 3 hours, I was blown away by this gentleman's genuinely intriguing tale. A few months later, when I was setting up my Twitter account, I reached out to him and he actually responded to me! Glenn Villeneuve is as real as it gets - one of the nicest, smartest guys I've had a chance to talk to. 40 years ago, I had an old neighbor tell a tale of hunting elk in Alaska. So, I'd guess this actually happened about 60 years old. Anyways they had 2 dog sled teams and 2 drivers and him. He spotted and shot an elk at a large distance. But it stood back up, so he shot it again. but when they got to the elk, they found out it was another one that was bedded down behind the first one. So, he had accidently shot 2. But they did not have capacity to carry all of 2 elk out with just 2 sled teams. So, they took one whole elk and the head mount on the 2nd. the guide said to drink as much beer as they could and make a complete circle of pee 'no gaps", around what was left of the remaining elk. And if they were fast enough getting back the wolves would not cross the pee path. they returned in less than 24 hrs to find lots of wolf tracks around the pee line, but never crossed and they were able to take the rest of the meat. I was in his home once and he had animal busts from just about every animal. I've never understood the whole taxidermy thing, just as long as they eat the meat.

About wolves knowing that we're dangerous - They also recognize a fellow predator. Even if they've never encountered a human, our eyes are forward facing, we're large, move differently than any other animal they'd see etc then if they had seen a human we also make loud noises, possibly have a gun or a car that would be loud foreign and threatening , etc. Everything about humans would be threatening to a wolf and they are intelligent enough to recognize all of it and not pick a fight they would lose. Wolves are really incredible animals.
@goldenlass94882 жыл бұрын
How much of a predator are we without a gun, etc.? We are not carnivores. Look at the wolves’ teeth, claws, and gut and compare with ours. We can eat flesh but are designed to predominantly eat plants.

GoldenLass it’s pointless to try to take away our biggest advantage… our intelligence.. which allowed for the production of that gun! Think of this: when man appeared on the planet some 4 million years ago… all he was given was some grass, rocks, sand and trees. From these completely primitive elements, we somehow managed to visit the moon and build incredible machines including the iPad you are possibly typing your comments on. We are on the contrary, animal like no other!
@goldenlass94882 жыл бұрын
@@zeroceiling I agree, for the most part. Except most animals are limited in their abilities in part because they lack hands. A few animals (e.g. chimps, crows) have been shown to fashion tools, which we previously thought was limited to humans. My point was that physiologically speaking, we are not best suited to have a meat-centric diet. Ironically, while humans are brilliant enough to do almost god-like things like flying to the moon, we are foolish enough to destroy planet earth 😥
@zeroceiling2 жыл бұрын
GoldenLass …I understand your point… and yes.. you are right… our dental profile designates us as omnivores…but I do think its more of a “gestalt”… “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts “.. kind of thing. Our intelligence is what drove our physical changes… for example… we were driven by general need to socialize… but to build these social groups into effective structures.. exchange of ideas was crucial… and hence vocalization became fundamental to these early hominids… and the more complex the communication became…the more it affected or dental structure…as did the preparation of meat over fire… allowing for easier consumption…etc…etc. ….so by that reasoning we were still dangerous and killing everything in sight… but we were doing it through organizing… not brawn and sharp canines and incisors… or claws for that matter…
