"..why do you need all that power?..." 'Cause there's _no replacement for displacement,_ baby! Love your work Bob, one of the few true tube-meisters left. As l've shared here before, l'm fortunate enough to know one who's not too far away from where l live, l'm thankful for his association every day. Currently playing a 50W Bassman that he worked (minimal, he just removed the high-end defeating components from the 'Bass' channel), phase correcting the inputs w/ 'Framptone' ampswitcher and panning between "Fat Leo" and "Fat Fischer"-style channels. S'too much fun! Hope ya'll are well 'n stayin' cool this Summer! 👋😉👍!

I've wanted a Gjika amp since 14 year old me heard Powers Of Ten for the first time. I think that is the single best guitar tone ever recorded. Smooth like Eric Johnson's tone, but with more attack, more snap, and clarity. I will have a 10^n some day.

You are correct, sir! I have always been able to get away with a cell phone or my Sony concert mini-cam, with the 10^n and the 2x12 cabs, but these 100s through the 4x12 cabs have proven to not be recordable with those devices. Both those devices clamped down extremely hard on this massive tone, but you obviously could hear what was really going on, albeit that is not an excuse for me not to figure out a way to adequately record these. Thanks for your comment.
