In fact here is something that won't tell you all the Bryce young haters the Texans originally wanted to trade up to number one to get Bryce Young the Panthers even knew this but the Texans fail to make the trade we succeed. Nobody suspected that CJ Stroud was going to have the year that he did nobody could have foreseen that I guarantee you if the Texans were in our position they would have taken Bryce young to if the bears kept the number one pick they probably would have also chosen Bryce Young people are only trying to look at this from a hindsight perspective. I guarantee you if Bryce young had a great year like CJ Stroud did nobody would be calling him a bust but because in football you have this overreaction hot pocket culture everybody expects everybody to be good right away. Even though people forget that some of the best quarterbacks of all time like Peyton Manning had abysmal rookie seasons CJ Stroud is just one of those rare outliers like Cam Newton or Andrew luck and he is just that an outlier the type of thing that only comes around every once in a blue moon. Also how quickly people forget that Bryce young defeated CJ Stroud last year yes CJ Stroud had the better season but CJ Stroud also lost to Bryce Young.
