A Papillon Dog Goes To His THIRD Home (Beau's Story)

By popular request, here is the re-post of Beau's Story. Beau came to us when he was one year old after two different homes (both about 6 months) through no fault of his own. He grew too big for showing, and his second owner had health issues. He was first Cody, then Obi Wan and now Beau. I would have returned his name to Cody, but we know someone by that name :)
Jackson, the Golden Retriever in the video, sadly passed away last year. He was 13 years old. Frosting the Siamese cat is still very interactive with the Papillons. Karma, Beau's mother, still lives with his breeder. Notice how they have the same wide blaze!!

I was the third owner of my Pap. Separation anxiety is the reason. These wonderful dogs are bred to be companions. They don't react well to being left alone. I received my girl at 2.5 years old. Eventually she outgrew the anxiety, but boy did she used to give me a talking to when I returned home!

I never had any separation anxiety with my pap in the 14 years I had him. He was very devoted but very independent. Didn’t bat an eyelid when left at home ( which wasn’t very often anyway), even when being left at a dog boarders house when we went on holidays. He had our other dog, a dachshund for company though.

I used to have just one dog and always worried about leaving her. It's much easier with more than one to keep each other company.

He is a great dog. It is hard to imagine that anyone could give him up. But he was too big for showing.
