History of Markleeville
Markleeville is named after Jacob Markley, who staked a 160-acre claim here on a creek and erected a toll bridge on the road from Genoa, Nevada. Markley was killed in a gunfight in 1863. The town of Markleeville was established in 1861 where Markley made his claim. Jacob J. Marklee founded a toll bridge crossing the Carson river in 1861. He aimed to tap into the traffic from the Silver Mountain City. On June 23, 1862, he recorded a land claim of 160 acres in Douglas County, Nevada. A boundary survey took place, and the property ended up being in California. In 1863, Marklee died after being involved in a gunfight. When the Comstock load discovery took place, the town of Markleeville was founded on the Marklee property. Today, the Alpine County Courthouse sits on the former property, which is listed as a California Historical Landmark.
We had gotten in contact with the owners of the Out West Cafe to do an investigation knowing about all of the stories being told by all of the locals. Joey and Danelle Daly are really curious on who has been haunting the area and inside the Cafe.

There are only two paranormal groups that I watch. You lot and the Fourman Brothers. The amount of respect that you have for people is astounding and is sadly missing from other groups both famous or those trying to be. They conduct their investigations with honor, honesty and integrity. They have 2 investigations at the Majestic Theatre where they capture some really great evidence! I completely agree. I've stopped watching almost all paranormal channels except for a select few bc of so much faked evidence. I found a small channel about a year ago called "Night Watchers Paranormal Australia" that conducts all their investigations with honor, honesty and integrity. Even if they don't catch anything paranormal, they still post the video. Their excitement over even small things is totally contagious! Maybe check them out. They captured some amazing evidence when they investigated "The Majestic Theatre" on 2 different occasions. They're based in Australia and I live in Ohio so I get nothing from sharing their channel lol. Just like to share good realistic investigations with others who seem interested. So sorry for the long reply.

Please remember that the store suddenly has like, 4 men in it.. there's warmth from the camera equipment and movement causes both dust to move and tiny fibres from their clothing to fly around. Please look at things from a more scientific point of view. What you see as orbs, are merely dust moving around being caught by infra red cameras Orbs are usually more opaque.
