My Goofs For This Episode: 1) In my script notes, I had originally jotted down 'Tuxen', thinking at the time it was a town or a newspaper I had never heard of. Come to find out later on, it's actually in ref to the Tucson Daily Paper. That's a fun goof pronouncing it like I've never heard it before. 2) I made a mistake in the year of the 'cellphone' story. The author/user submitter never explained the exact time-frame these events took place, and so I mistook his time starting as a ranger as the time of the story (1981). I believe it happened later on while there was cell phone use as described in the story. Enjoy my bloopers 😅

I have vacationed Colo., Wyoming, Mont., Utah for over 30 plus years. I always preferred the off beaten paths etc. ( less people, traffic etc, ) The deep forests, remote rock formations, canyons, sides of mountains and such were of interest to me. At times, yes odd things seemed to happen, or you would see things briefly, but who would I tell....and better yet, who would believe ? Long story short.....I don't do it anymore. I still go back when I can...just not certain areas. I prefer to leave it alone. Am I trying to spook anyone ? No, not at all. Just be careful...and always alert. If something does not feel right, just leave it alone.

When I go back (which is often) I tend to do the same. I am older now, and a bit more cautious in my roaming. Yes, a few from soft drums to orbs at night at an old Indian battlefield to odd smells deep in the woods...but not from a dead animal...more like a metalic smell. Creatures..uummm only two...not any bear, wolf, elk, moose, coyote,...bigger, on two feet walking and very very furry with a grunting noise. I told a ranger friend of mine about it and all he said was...Yeah, well, we got others that describe it like you did...we're not sure what it is " To which I said...DUH. And the Rainbow Trout with two heads...amazing indeed. But with the volcanic action going on even in the big lake at Yellowstone, releasing all kinds of stuff...I wasn't too surprised.

The two missing hikers with missing eyes, tongue and burns sounds very similar to what happened to the hikers on Dyatlov Pass in 1959. Doroshenko and Krivonischenko were both found with burn marks and multiple abrasions and Dubinina was found without eyes and tongue. Thank you sharing the story.

Dyatlov Pass has already been explained ... The Russian military was testing "parachute mines" that night in that same area. The "wierd injuries" were due to the fact that the mines explode in the air and crush and burn people on the ground from the blast. The blasts caused the "improbable" avalanches that were ultimately blamed. That case has been closed for years .... only the "enthusiasts" still consider it a "mystery" ... the missing soft body parts are typical of small animal predation.

@@josephmeador1529 Right; an animal is gonna go up and scoop one eyeball out and cut out someone’s tongue, and not touch any of the rest of the bodies. This is the classic MO of gray aliens. I will tell you of one other encounter, even though you will think me crazy. It didn’t happen in Colorado. It happened when I still lived in Louisiana. In a seemingly unlikely place. My friend, his girlfriend, and I grew bored one night, sitting at our house in Woodworth, LA. We decided to take a drive down to the Indian Creek Spillway. My friend and I came here all the time to fish and hangout. We took my car and headed down Tobi Lane to where it becomes gravel and continued from there to the little parking area at the gate, overlooking the reservoir. It was around 10:00 at night and we were the only ones there. I turned the car to where it was facing back the way we came. There was a guard-rail to my left and on the other side of the guard-rail, a slope down into a marshy area. As we were joking around in the car, something caught my eye by that guard-rail. All I saw was the silhouette of a large body and two beady, red eyes. There were no flashy indication markers on or by that guard-rail. Nothing to make it ever appear as though there were eyes there. I saw red eyes. As I watched, the silhouette, which up until this point could have been confused as a tree…moved. Like if I was standing on that downslope and needed to shift my weight on my hips, to make sure I don’t slip. It made that movement. Then, what appeared to be a hand, gripped onto a small sapling. It made sense. If something was standing there, it would need to grab onto something and shift it’s weight or it would fall into the marsh. I thought I was going crazy, so I said, “guys, slowly turn your head to the left and tell me if you see something by the guard-rail.” My friend and his girlfriend turned to look. I couldn’t see my friend’s girlfriend, because she sat behind me, but right after I asked them to look, she screamed from behind me. At that point, I knew I wasn’t the only one who had seen something. I gunned it out of there and we never went back there at night. The weird thing, is a few years before this happened, another friend of mine and I would night fish that same spillway sometimes. Every time we ever did, I used to feel like something was watching me from behind. I would turn and look at the tree line, but I would never see anything. Just always felt uneasy and couldn’t place it. Now, it all makes sense. What doesn’t make sense is…what is it? Why is it here, in a relatively populated area of the woods? I never could make heads or tails of that one. That one really scares me.

My nephew and I did this numerous times. We never saw anything. Whwn going around though about a quarter of the way it felt watched like. Then it would fade. That was back in the 80s. Yup, Colorado has some weird stuff going on in the back woods areas. Doesn't mean people should not go and enjoy the wilderness though. It just means people should go well prepared and be respectful of nature when they are out in it. Points to remember when adventuring in the Colorado rockies: ● Due to the silicates, copper, iron, quartz and loadstone deposits that comprise the makeup of the mountians, cell phone service is spotty at best even if you have good reception ( your basically inside a giant crystal radio that diffuses communication signals), even with C.B. radios and walkie talkies. Prepare accordingly. ● Don't piss off the wildlife. We have bear, mountian lion, rattlesnakes, coyotes ( sometimes even wolves), elk, deer, moose and bison in certain areas in these mountians. They can get VERY angry if you don't respect their personal space, and they won't be kind when they remind you that you're not in the city. Before you go into the woods, call the local park ranger offices to see what type of protection you can bring with you on your trips and what safty protocols need to be adheared to for an enjoyable, safe experience. ● Buddy systems. Use them. ● Hydrate and rest often, especially at high altitudes. Remember, you're over 10k feet above sea level in the flat lands before you head up to the mountainous areas. The air is kinda thin. ;) ● The saying " Don't like the weather? Wait 5 minutes and it'll change." Is said in Colorado for a reason. It's full of micro- climates. Dress in layers and pack accordingly. ● Take your stick, your knife and axe. Go on your journey, return with stories of your adventures and have fun. When you are done, leave the area you adventure in better then when you found it. Hope the info above helps if you decide to visit.

Taos Pueblo has old stories of 'hairy giants' in the Four Corners area. The Utes and the Navajo also speak of the 'hairy men' (apparently they had certain human features). It is said the Taos Pueblo developed a 'relationship' with these hairy giants. Perhaps they believed they were gods for the tribe provided them with food and skins. These hairy giants were able to communicate somehow and spoke of 'others' like them saying that they did not do things to humans like the others did (cannibalism?). Over time, they came less and less and eventually they stopped coming at all. They are remembered because they spoke of caring for each other and would remind them to be of service for the good of all their People.

I appreciate your comment so much. I have heard they can communicate telepathically. I have listened to numerous near death experiences and often people who have had a NDE, or near death experience say after our experience here, we have the ability to speak telepathically. I've been so in tune at times with my ex that we would often say the same thought, at the exact same time. This seems to happen to me even more tho when I pray and meditate more often. Anyways, I thought maybe they had like tribes or different species, the Bigfoot entities I mean. I've heard peaceful trusting stories, I've also heard horror/// terrifying stories.

I've been a hunting chauffeur for my sister in-law and on this occasion I saw something very peculiar. My brother was still at work and couldn't go with her like they normally did, so she needed someone to drive her around and help her pack if she ended up punching her tag. After a few hours of driving and glassing clear cuts, we tried a few logging roads that hadn't been used for a few years hoping to get the drop on a buck that's not used to traffic through said roads. Long story short, we went down one road that had been partially washed out in spots and overgrown with grass, not a single track from another vehicle. We round a bend going down a slight incline and down the road as far as we could see, in front of some fog that was moving in, was a solid black hump. It sat about 3' tall, maybe more and about 2' wide. It was on my side of the road(left, drivers side facing the bank) and didn't move as I stopped. My sister in-law wasn't paying much attention before then as she was looking and trying to spot a buck off her side of the road, as she had a view down the side of the mountain. I asked her if she saw the black hump down the road, we both acknowledged it and wondered what it was. As we were talking about it, still sitting where we stopped, it just vanished when we were turned talking to each other. It never moved or appeared to notice us, for about 5 minutes, and then it was just gone. We figured it was a black bear, as they're fairly common in Washington. But I wasn't so sure, wild animals almost always turn to face whatever makes noise around them, especially when it's something they're not used to like a truck and people. I didn't see any movement whatsoever, not a twitch or turn of it's head the entire time. We ended up having to go down the road and had to turn around because it was too washed out to continue. It was pretty narrow and close to the edge/drop-off and my sister in-law offered to get out and spot me, I didn't want to worry her by sounding too serious but I nonchalantly insisted she stay in the truck. I eventually got us turned around after a couple minutes and we headed back up to the mainline. I didn't like the feeling I got being down that road for the short duration being on it. We ended up not seeing anything besides a few does bedded down the entire day, but that black hump still doesn't sit right with me. I've had other times when I've been out hunting that I didn't feel right about my surroundings and decided to head back to my truck or camp but that was the first time I'd ever seen anything to warrant it. The only other time that comes close was when I was hunting for elk in Eastern Oregon with my grandparents. I went out one morning, earlier than they were ready to go out. I made my way out to a forested area, a mile or so from camp and followed some elk tracks in the snow from the night before(we were unsuccessful in our hunt because the moon was full every night, allowing the elk to feed then and not be as active during the day) with tall trees and not much brush. I found a stump next to another tree to sit on and waited quietly for an hour or two, scanning and listening. There was a half dozen trees in a bunch maybe 40 yards from me with low hanging branches that reached the ground with the weight of the snow and completely covered. I heard some rustling. Not the kind of loud, pounding rustling that elk make when they're spooked, breaking branches, sticks and twigs. And not the light rustling from something small like birds or varmints. I stood up, turned and trained my .270 on the bunch of trees. I slowly crept a little closer and waited for more noise and an animal to run out from behind cover. Nothing. I was starting to get a little nervous because every wild animal I've ever had experience with, usually runs away when they spot, smell or hear you and I wasn't exactly concealed or hidden now. I thought maybe I could flush whatever it was out from the trees, so I proceeded to throw a few rocks into the branches to set my mind at ease, even if it meant I lose a shot on a bull. Nothing. As soon as I first heard the rustling, I got chills and didn't feel right. So at this point, after feeling like I was being watched, and not a single animal, not even a bird, coming out from the trees, I started to back away, keeping my rifle pointed in that direction. I got about 50 yards away and started making my way back to camp, scanning and keeping my head on a swivel. I don't hunt alone, I've tried it and I don't like the feeling I get. My brother has hunted alone many times with bow, rifle, muzzle loader, etc. He's never said anything about weird stuff happening and I haven't asked. He's got a decade and a half of experience on me, I'm not a hard-core hunter by any means and I've only got a few years of experience myself, so it could just be my imagination. But we've both also had paranormal experiences, so I'm not so sure. Just play it on the safe side, don't go out alone and go prepared. Don't underestimate your situation when you're at the mercy of nature and whatever else may be out there.

I live in the foothills west of Denver Colorado and was woke up at 4:30 in the morning by screams and yells I have never heard before. I thought my neighbor was being killed by her husband. I went up my back door but the noise was coming from the front of my house so I went around the deck and looked up onto the one lane dirt road that I live on and the thing that was yelling was over 8 feet tall and 4 feet wide and it kept up until I slapped the handrailing. I could feel and sound in my body. It was 70 feet away. It was dark but enough light from Denver metro gives enough light to barely see at night. And then it moved faster than anything I had seen with no noise, jumped The low chain over my neighbors driveway and was gone. This happened at fenders junction Colorado.

You'd have to ask yourself, why would they hide it? Assuming Bigfoot/Sasquatch is real it's almost definitely some type of more primitive ape. Not "interdimensional" as some people like to believe. So if it exists, and it's an ape of sorts, we absolutely have the ability to either capture or eliminate it. I think people would panic/riot over aliens, so I understand not releasing that evidence. I really doubt the same reaction would come from bigfoot evidence as it would just be another primate of the many that already exist. I just don't understand why they would want to keep something like that secret. I don't see the benefit. If they're not a threat to us, we would just accept that they exist and move on. If they were a threat, we absolutely have the man/firepower to simply eliminate them.

That is almost certainly because YOU set yourself up to fail by NOT carrying the minimum equipment. You should have purchased 1-25000 tactical maps of the entire area, a GPS with a moving map display, prismatic compass, emergency beacon and preferably a SAT phone and recharger, lacking these things YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE GONE. Your story is so common. Your basic navigation equipment is your eyes and a watch, however if you suddenly realize its overcast and can not see the sun, you easily become disoriented. Everyone walks in circles, some LH some RH, you need to establish which of these you are so you can take this into consideration. ALWAYS carry batteries for your GPS and torch, and i mean at least 12. I am glad all worked out well for you but !, perhaps next time you should have the proper training before you put yourself in a position of risk. Everyone takes the wrong turn sometimes, the important thing is to have the gear necessary to identify your position and to find the way back to the right location. Just yesterday found this channel. Have heard many other stories such as these. It is amazing how MANY spot on descriptions of the same type of wolf like creatures are exactly the same. If one has never seen any of David Paulides, Missing 911 videos, I highly suggest you see his videos. David’s impeccable reputation and background is unquestionably. When someone goes missing and how drastically and quickly the weather turns bad. How trained tracking dog never pick up a scent. Bodies never found. I was born with a deep love and respect for horses. As a kid, I rode in the woods around where I grew up a lot. NEVER let someone tell you horses are dumb, they are highly intelligent and a much better judge of human character than I am. There has only been once in my 70 years that I questioned one of my horses instincts. I lived is western New York and had three of my horses boarded up there. Of course, I had my most trusted, go to guy there. I would ride him over the property all the time and he had never baulked. We had ridden a trail many times with no problem. I was riding him one day at dusk on the same trail we usually took but this particular evening, he didn’t want to continue on the trail that led into the forest. I tried and tried to convince him to go forward, he was politely refusing. The whole time, his eyes and ears were completely focused on the forest where I was trying to get him to go. After less than a minute, my focus turned to him and not where I was trying to get him to go. I saw nothing to prevent us going into the forest, but, he obviously knew something I didn’t. For reason or reasons, known to him and not me, I immediately put my trust into him and abandoned the forest ride. TO THIS DAY, I COMPLETELY believe he saved both of us from something he knew and I was obviously to. I’ve never questioned he was right and I was wrong. Since watching these stories of the National Parks system, there IS a concerted effort on the Parks system to NOT report these missing persons reports and to gag park rangers from telling what they have witnessed. Yosemite seems to have the highest ratio but, we the people, are considered too dumb or too fragile or too something to be told the truth. Otherwise, why has the government gone to such extremes to covering up these missing people for decades I honestly believe there are things out there that we can’t explain and the government spends a lot of money hiding.

@@satis7561 in that area lightening is the most likely reason. Dyatlov pass was found to be the result of an avalanche. Natural causes should always be the first consideration. I live in the Colorado Rockies. Have hiked many of the peaks. You never want to be above treeline after noon. If you are, you watch the sky carefully. And, get below treeline quickly. Even the clearest day can turn into nasty weather quickly. Those peaks are cloud and lightening generators.

I wish I could tell you that it is safe out there in the national parks and that you have nothing to worry about, but I can’t. It’s not just national parks. Sometimes, strange things can happen in the most unthinkable places or by coincidence. I have had multiple encounters with things, I do not understand. The two most recent and relevant happenings were here in Colorado, not far apart from each other. One day a friend of mine and I went to the Great Sand Dunes. After we finished enjoying that place, we started looking for somewhere in the San Luis Valley to camp. We couldn’t camp at Sand Dunes, because they were full at the campground. I ended up stumbling upon a campground on Google maps called, Penitente Canyon Campground. It was across the valley, near Saguache. We ended up camping there that night. It was very peaceful and serene. The next day we wake up and hike Big Sky Loop and Old Wagon Tracks. At some point on the Big Sky, my friend and I came upon a fork in the trail. I went one way and my friend went the other way. I could tell it was just two different paths on the same trail that interconnected again within about 100ft. As we split and I kept moving forward, my friend suddenly stopped. He began calling for me with panic in his voice. I could hear the fear in his voice. My friend is an OG from New York, who used to robotrip for days on end. He does not get scared like that. I simply stopped and called out saying, “It’s okay buddy, keep walking forward. I’m right here.” After a few seconds, he emerged from the trail and looked relieved. I felt relieved too. However, that’s when I noticed something. Like a fog on my brain. I studied the feeling. It was as if, I suddenly felt I could get lost for no reason. It was irrational. The trail was easy and well marked. If you get to high ground, you can easily see the surrounding area and where the campground is. Yet, I got an over-powering sensation that I definitely had the ability to get lost on these trails. I had a feeling that something was watching me from behind the trees. It was such a surreal and uneasy feeling. When I got back home, I did some research. Come to find out, that place used to be the home of the Penitent Ones. A religious sect that fled Spain to practice their religion away from others. They practiced self chastisement and crucified themselves on the hills, over-looking the Sangre De Christo Mountains. In the areas where my friend and I hiked. The campground is removed from that bubble, but as soon as you step foot on a trail, you are at the mercy of something else out there. The second happening wasn’t far at all from Penitente Canyon. It was just South of Del Norte, headed up the Middle Frisco Trail to Bennett’s Peak. I call it Skull Mountain, because on Google maps, the peak looks like a human skull. On the way up the trail, perhaps around 9,500-10,000ft, I made it to a small, open meadow. As soon as I stepped into the meadow, I got an urgent sensation within myself. An overwhelming sense of doom. I felt like something was going to harm me. My gut was turning flips. I immediately turned around and went back down the mountain. There are some things that can explain the second happening, on the Middle Frisco Trail. I’m not sure about Bennett’s Peak, but I can tell you Penitente Canyon is the real deal for strange things and possibly, supernatural occurrences. I’ve just simply never felt this way on any other trail. I’ve felt daunted before on trails, like how am I going to get up there or over there from here? These feelings aren’t like that at all.

I live in Colorado and go to RMNP a lot. We’ve hiked a lot near Bear Lake a fair amount. One time we were with my sister in law and her kids who were 10(twins) and 13? Anyway, we were doing the easy hike around the lake with the kids running ahead and those 3 kids all went missing. They decided to hike up into the trees and each went a different way. We called and combed the woods and couldn’t find them. We had just contacted a ranger (after about an hour) when they all showed up. Thankfully, they were ok but we gave them a talking to for taking off without our knowledge. My son was a little younger and stayed with us so we were very lucky. It’s amazing how quickly one can get lost in the woods. Stay together and don’t let young ones out of your sights. There, I did my mom thing! It’s a beautiful park btw.

I’ve been saying this for years. The federal government definitely had multiple ulterior motives when they set up the National Parks System. With all the crazy bizarre disappearances that take place every year inside the Parks, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were inter dimensional portals, large predatory cryptids, and or small groups of Feral People who live within the deep bush of the National Parks. What makes matter even worse is that the Park Rangers are all sworn to secrecy and they’re told by their superiors to keep their personal experiences to themselves and to never document any visitors experiences as well. Whatever the case might be, theres definitely something very strange going on within the National Parks.

There are lots of bodies in the mountains of Colorado. If you want another story, a kid I grew up with, Keith Anderson, went missing in the winter of 1984. It’s pretty much certain he was murdered. They even know who did it. But the DA won’t prosecute without proof of death. Here’s the story as I heard it from my mother, who still lived in the area at the time (by then I’d moved to Denver): Keith and man named David Russell Buttel had an ongoing dispute about a woman. Buttel had left his wife and children in Illinois to move to Grand County with this woman, but she later left him and moved in with Keith. One day, Vernon “Spud” Weaver, who boarded both Keith’s and Buttel’s horses on his property, called Keith’s dad to report that he’d found Keith’s truck idling near the barn, with his dog in the back, but Keith was nowhere to be found. Police were called, and when they arrived they found blood, later verified as Keith’s, on a pile of manure. Keith’s horse was in its stall, with a blanket over its back. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area that day, and Weaver reported that his .44 caliber Magnum, which he kept under the seat in his truck, was missing. Later, Buttel was questioned and verified that he had been at Weaver’s property that day and had seen Keith. He claimed Keith had gotten a nosebleed, and that he (Buttel) had driven Keith to the clinic (another source said Keith’s blood was also found in Buttel’s vehicle), and that was the last he’d seen of him. Supposedly, he also told the police that he’d noticed Keith’s horse had been injured. Some days after Keith went missing, his horse died (I’m not sure whether this was before or after Buttel told police it was injured), and they found a .44 caliber bullet in it. Weaver’s gun was later found up in the mountains, but they couldn’t verify that it had discharged the bullet that killed the horse, because by that time the barrel was too rusty. Buttel left the area soon after he was questioned, and though the Andersons hired a private investigator, they have not been able to locate him. Keith’s dad even went to Illinois to attend Buttel’s father’s funeral, hoping Buttel would also attend, but he didn’t. Also, in the years since Keith disappeared, some hunters (or hikers-not sure of the details) reported finding human bones in the area where the gun was found. They later tried to guide police to the area but were unable to locate the remains again, so there’s no telling whether this was Keith or some other unfortunate who has gone missing in those mountains. Personally, I don’t understand why the DA wouldn’t prosecute when he had the chance. It seems pretty clear what happened. Why the heck would any jury conclude that Keith left his injured horse, his running truck, and his beloved dog and let this man who hated him drive him to a clinic voluntarily-over a bloody nose? If a DA today wanted to try the case, the tough part would be finding Buttel. I knew the Andersons as a child, and I’ve often thought of them over the years and hoped they’d one day find closure.

I moved back to Iowa after being in CO for 18 years of living in the Greenwood Village area. My sons stayed there as they were at the University of CO and the oldest just got out of the Air Force and all of his friends and job was there. Funny thing, I was happy to be back in the Des Moines area. It has grown by leaps and bounds and has everything huge cities has except for the traffic, crimes and expense. There are several people, besides me, that moved here from CO and said the Des Moines area is the best kept secret and moved here from CO and CA. We have everything that huge cities have, but not the crimes and traffic. It is growing by leaps and bounds, and Wake, a suburb, is one of the fastest growing cities in America, building their third big high school. The educational system is excellent, and what finally sold my son who graduated from University of CO then went on to Medical School in CA, was out of the 5 hospitals that offered him a position, IA is third highest pay for physicians! Neither of my boys were raised here, and we only came back to see our family, yet, both of them ended up settling here. Surely not because of me, I barely even see them! They love it here because the money is great, the people are friendly, and the rent is nothing compared to other cities. Our family skied a lot when their dad and I were married, but after the divorce, I could no longer afford to go, so that would be the only thing that I missed that Iowa doesn't have, the mountains. Otherwise, I am very happy I made the right decision to return to Iowa. So, I hear what you are saying, and you are absolutely right! My oldest son rents a very nice home with a fenced in yard in a very nice area where the best school system is, and he pays $18,00.00 a month. A huge apartment with all the amenities in an upscale area runs around $1600.00 Little less money than you are paying there in CO.

I was engaged to a gentleman who grew up in the back country of our national parks. Later he worked in our Yosemite national park. So I pinned him down on people who went missing in the park. He said there weren't any. I find that suspect because there had to have been "normal" missing people who were found when they were searched for. I can't pin him down on it further because he passed from cancer in December of 2020. It makes me wonder why he was so bent on saying nothing happened in his 25 years of being in the national park environment. I will always wonder why he didn't share anything, even the more mundane missing people. His dad was a back woods ranger and biologist for years. He worked as a biology teacher during the school year and in the summer he worked his ranger job. He said if there is a yeti it would be a primate. It seems the likeliest of what sort of creature it would be. It makes sense to me. Unfortunately his dad passed not long after I met him so I didn't get a chance to ask him about it any further. My point is that I think something is going on that people who worked there are afraid to say anything about. I don't want to think about what could scared them so much that they wouldn't talk about it. One thing that immediately comes to mind is what is the nature of the topography in the area. Are there caves in the areas where people go missing? If so the first place to look when it comes to anyone who goes missing.

The government buys their silence, look up Dave paulides, he specifically writes about and investigates people missing from national parks, he's done Yosemite on it's own, he's had rangers anonymously confide in him our governments tactics, his fight with freedom of information act, the parks refusal to cooperate, the ndas employees have to sign, and on and on, Bigfoot is no primate, just another type of person, I've seen one, experienced others, once you see one, watch them, you'll know, so not a primate...very very human face...

I worked at a nursing facility in Fort Collins Colorado. For a few nights you could hear something crawling/growling outside. Sometimes you’d just feel a presence. One night after hearing the noise, I looked outside and saw these strange footsteps that head into a well . People said it was rabbit or deer but whatever it was, walked on 2 legs not 4 and it’s print was bigger than my foot
