you are the trauma whisperer Dr. Fisher! Thank you, my going on with normal life part IS my intellectual part and she sat here nodding and saying, yuuuuuup! and when you talked about going directly to the intellectual part being difficult, my intellectual part said, 'no kidding! i don't do emotion, that is my job that is the point! i keep us alive, you feel emotions later when I'm not needed! I survive specifically by not processing!' a lot of my therapeutic work has been working to help my intellectual part see we are safe enough to process the trauma and it is worth processing because survival mode, as essential and heroic as it is, can't build the life we dream of, we need to make space for the emotional parts so we can live

Yes yes this. I can’t seem to function without the chaos and trauma it became my normal. Therapy is going great trauma yoga emdr etc. however how to feel joy happiness worth and vitality feels like it’s just not for me. Ugh. Thank you. I have subscribed ❤
