Aarrgh! Silas you are being a Dumbo. It’s like watching a train wreck. He finally gets his daughter alone and lets an interloper invite herself along. After letting Helen down again and again he deserves every treatment he gets. I like the description of the children’s chaos likened to “corralling a litter of inebriated kittens”. My favourite scene was the family embrace after Silas was ill. And I greatly enjoyed Judith forcing Silas and Ruth to sort out their differences. It still baffles me how Judith took so long to accept that Silas loves her. And the ending was very special making me teary. Thank you for the Byrnes back story and for giving insight into Hatch. It is interesting how you use ex Navy men in this series and they all seem hopelessly inept at wooing.

Wow! What an absolutely divine novel. So authentic, vulnerable, deeply moving and beautiful book. You are a brilliant writer and this book encapsulates your talent and the real emotion so well. It’s worth so much more than the typical regency story of wealth, title and the simplicity of falling in love. The realness of the characters, like Hannah, and the depth of a father learning to win his children’s trust is just so beautiful . Thank you. I do hope Hatch will get his own story as well, as we only got glimpses into his character and the depth and reason beneath his apparent hardened exterior

Oh thank goodness! Something happy! We're about to get slammed by the fourth hurricane in thirteen months. Our property is devastated. We lost an entire, 300 year old oak hammock, our crops and we've had very little power. Everything's destroyed. Thank you for something light-hearted! You're the best!

I'm an avid reader, but with all the work that has been foisted upon us by these hurricanes has kept me from sitting down with an actual book. Our public library got demolished. We managed to keep the 4G Tower but, nobody has Wi-Fi. It is an absolute Godsend having these books to listen to while I wade around in the devastation, looking for pieces of normal LOL

My hear melted when she said "have you no heart? " and he said " I DO AND IT BELONGS TO U".....utter swoon moment 🫠🫠🫠. Poor thing her self esteem so low she wont let her self believe but my boy silas 🎉🎉🎉 Awesome narration. Would love to get a story on Hacher he seems like a very interesting character that would do well with someone to love him.

Yeah, I wrote A Stolen Kiss first & that's where Silas & Judith made their first appearance. Then I decided I wanted to write their story, too. So, it was fun to jump into Jack's life at an earlier stage when he was even more broken than when Lily met him.
