A PBS Logo From Every Station | Alden Moeller Inc.

This is a journey into PBS motion graphics. In collaboration with The PBS-ST Archive, enjoy the station idents and opening logos of every (that I can find from) PBS station, from KACV, to WYES.
Note: I haven't found logos from every single station. Some are left out, but I've included a good majority.

Looking back, I’ve noticed a few mistakes. • Accidentally misspelled “San Meteo” • Mislabelled the WGCU logo as being from 2013-2016 even though it was from before • I could’ve used the 1992 KNPB logo, which was way better • The WNPB logo I featured was only a placeholder used in 1984 • The dates of the WPBT and WQLN logos are likely incorrect • The WTVS logo was from 1979, not 1978 • The WVPT could’ve been used earlier, I am currently unsure.

I am so happy to see WPBS (Watertown, NY) on here. It services my hometown of Kingston, Ontario, and I was actually on one of their shows when I was in high school.

WPBS always struck me as an interesting station, they're more popular across the St. Lawrence than in their American broadcast area They also had a very popular fishing show back in the 80s and 90s (Rod And Reel) that seems to go under the radar nowadays sadly

I'm from the city whose Public TV station also bears the PBS acronym--KPBS San Diego. But neither WPBS (on the Eastern Seaboard) nor KPBS (on the West Coast) are FLAGSHIP stations. So those stations should NOT bear the PBS letters in their respective call signs. Besides--speaking on KPBS, mind you--KPBS probably doesn't have the budget that those monster stations like WNET, KCET or even the SUPER-MONSTER WGBH have! Despite having the PBS acronym/abbreviation in its call sign, KPBS has a tap water budget compared to WGBH with it's champagne budget.

Just so we're clear, KPBS in San Diego is NOT the West Coast's PBS flagship station despite the inclusion of the letters PBS in its call sign. KCWT is a low-powered station that also hosts other networks. You’d likely be able to view KEDT, which is on this video, and if I’m correct serves the same television market as KCWT.

@@AldenMoellerInc picture it was January 25, 2018 watching CBS play Mario kart whatever that’s jazz you were doing but in Texas something went wrong so on January 25, 2018 local utility work resulted in a power surge that damaged the KMBH. The station returned to air at reduced power in late July; however, efforts to ramp up to full operation damaged the transmitter again, forcing KMBH of the air on February 11, 2019 and that was the reason why I have KCWT 21.4 As my PBS station now if you’re wondering about KMBH. It is now a Fox television station as KFXV. KMBH was previously known as KZLN but in 1984 I think KZLN changed its transmitter to KMBH until in 2020 after the whole shut down thing in 2020 PBS return to the Rio Grande Valley as KCWT 21.4
