Why do people think overly loud music enhances nature’s action.... damn that sucks!

Is it really nature's action, when the falcon (Falco) is a captive and was released from a car? When falconers release raptors from cars, it is called car hawking and gives a significant advantage to the raptor over their prey. Also, when I saw the title, I imagined that the heron (Ardeidae) would be a juvenile, since an adult great blue heron (Ardea herodias) is too big for a peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus). But it turns out, this is the work of a falconer with a peregrine falcon. It's not nature's action, it is captive animal's action.

Oh man, that slo-mo of your Peregrine Falcon at 1:40 was totally gnarly! She is a real beast of a hunter! Right before she caught that Great Blue Heron, she flew right underneath it, and that caused a wind burst that knocked it backward! A heron can't regain its balance near as easily as a pigeon or a starling can, due to its bulky size and long wingspan! So I'd say that gives your Peregrine an advantage! She ended up grabbing the heron by one of its talons when she dragged it down! The heron was hoping that maybe she would release it, but nope, she's not letting go because she was going to win no matter what after that!

@Shay Ogun What do you think impedes them?
@maladetts3 жыл бұрын
@Shay Ogun Yes we know that, but still it seems somewhat unclear why couldn't a heron just do a lightning-fast beak strike in the air in the same fashion as on the ground or at least attempt it in a life-and-death situation instinctively, and just try to swallow a smaller-sized bird that attacks it in one piece. Or at least try to bring this fight down to the ground.

Raptors are wild. They are not domesticated. They are merely tame. And falconers often steal meat from them, so it is likely they resent them for that. When falconers' raptors hunt, they intend to eat the animal. They are not hunting for the falconer, at least not intentionally. Falconers probably keep raptors hungry to make sure they hunt.

@@remyogun8270 Great blue herons are definitely apex predators in marsh ecosystems and should be protected to prevent endangerment before it's too late.
