Have you ever read/seen The Road? It's a book by Cormac McCarthy, later made into a movie with Christian Bale. It's about a father caring for his young son in a post-apocalyptic landscape. I read it and watched it once, before I had a child, and it was sad, but interesting. I watched it again after having a kid. Never again. It's about a highway who was developed, because of how laws are made in certain countries you shouldn't be allowed to take someone's land to justify the construction of infrastructure. The space is large enough that there was no need to destroy earth to build a highway. It's about development of countries where one learn how to manufacture hairspray before learning how to make a wheel. About people who are small think they're big only to be proven when challenging their status quo. The world leaders are described as braindead and need to be braindead to rule. Society can only be given the answer from an oracle to tell them what is the meaning of life. Earth is destroyed because with the answer to life and everything there be nothing left to explore a symbol to economy that if we let things become better we wouldn't have anything to improve.

I think this album is the epitome of their work. Like, it sounds so much like APC but so much better. This song is my least favorite though. I don't think it's a bad song at all, I just don't get the thrills from this musical aesthetics.
