Nice work, nice table. I could sit and have my coffee at that table and feel a sense of pride with it. Whether I built it or not.

That’s NOT how you use a jointer! I can’t get past the first minute. This kind of dangerous did-information is what makes inexperienced woodworkers lose their fingers! Please have regard for others if you have none for yourself.

Unfortunately in their countries there’s more people than jobs, you do as your told keep the job, loose a digit loose the job, no one cares, no health insurance bla bla bla, we should be thankful we get proper education and training in the western world along with all that goes with it

@@brazillady5119 the jointer is the one he’s using at 1:00 into the video. Tablesaws will cut your fingers/hand off. Jointers will turn them into ground beef.

In the UK the machine would be called a planer/thicknesser. A jointed would be a U.S. term,,which in the UK has been used to describe a bench top planer.

Mr woodworking-craft I like two of your other comments earlier would like to give you some advice. That advice is never stand behind any timber whilst machining. I learnt from experience when the timber I was machining caught and sent the timber flying and it hit me in the abdomen, . It hurt like hell , I had several hours in hospital whilst they checked me out.

Safety standards? We don't need them. It's a question of time, when you lose one or more fingers. Don't show this in public!
@danielhanawalt49987 ай бұрын
It's a nice table and all the fingers are intact. The best safety measure is watching what you're doing and the proximity your fingers are to the blades. Careful of distractions. That said, I know someone that lost three fingers to a table saw by being in a hurry. Getting in a hurry when working with power tools is not a good idea. Take your time and watch your fingers.
