Wow, those pictures are absolutely stunning mate. I've only seen the bridges from a plane, amazing sight.

Thanks. That's the benefit of being able to revisit the same location over and over.

Glad you're enjoying it Craig. There's also Scotland by Camera, who is based in West Lothian. Though he hasn't posted in a few months.

Hi Dougie really enjoyed your tips on locations. It's amazing how just shooting from lower gives a bigger impact. Only one thing please. When you added the settings for each shot, could you also indicate which strength of ND filters you used and if any were graduated. Many thanks and look forward to shots from further west or North Queensferry.

Thanks Brian, I'm pleased that you enjoyed it. These pictures have been taken over a period of several years, and I don't remember the particular filter that was used. I have an ND1000, an ND32 and a variable one that rarely gets pulled into service. Shorter exposures are likely the 32, while the longer ones will be the 1000. The harbour shot was one of my earliest images and it was badly underexposed. The artefacts are obvious if you look for them. I don't use ND grads - it's easier and more precise to do it in post.
