I actually always found him funny 😄 but not a good singer. Everyone likes different styles and just because someone doesn’t like it means you need to pray for them! It’s sad how judgmental so many believers are! There are many great singers today in Southern Gospel music!

Jessy had a church in Fort Wayne,IN. I never knew this until a few years back.. I agree with other commenters..he was one of a kind and his voice was that of an angel.. That song he sang was absolutely beautiful!! I too would love to have that when it's my turn to go home.. Thank you for making this wonderful video and putting the song to it.. you did a great job!! Blessings to Jessy's family and friends.. He's a singing in the choir with the heavenly hosts.. I think all I can say is Thank you Jessy!! and Thank the good Lord for you too! Thank you so much for all of the music, Jessy! And the memories. I miss going to a Gaither Homecoming concert and getting "my Jessy hug". I will never forget the concert when you changed your first song in your set at a concert, and you sang, "Sanctuary", because I had told you during intermission how much I loved to hear you sing that song. You were such a blessing here, with a smile and laughter that could light up an entire arena. We miss you! And I'm really looking forward to singing praises to God with you " when we all get to heaven"!

I LOVED JESSY DIXON! He was an incredible artist, amazing voice and gospel-style and I enjoyed talking with him backstage. I was at his concert in London, ON Canada the evening that his mother died. He continued on with the concert and shared to the audience that his mother had passed that day. We were also at a Benny Hinn service in Toronto, in the early 2000s and he was so anointed and we left that auditorium still singing his song! I'm sure that he is a part of the Heavenly Choir when we all get there and get to see the Lord, face to face!

I first heard Jessy when he came onto a Gaither concert I attended. I had never heard or seem him before that night. He came out in a bright Yellow suit, tall lean and when he opened his mouth and began to sing, I saw a man who took total control of that stage and had the crowd standing as he held us all in the palms of his hands. What a voice, what singing, i brought every one of his CD's that night and fell in love with his voice, his gift that God gave to him. Loved him and was always so happy when he would be at a gaither concert. He could tear up that stage and reach right down into your heart with Gods message. Miss U Jessy, but now you have God's angels rocking and tearing up the heavens with so many gaither singers that have gone before you and since your passing. RIP and thank you for all the beautiful music.

Sometimes, things happen and we don't get to know on time and in time. Only today, I came to learn of Jesses departure to heaven. It does not matter for us, and won't change the admiration, and the gratitude for his life, all he did to "spread the goo news" May he rest in peace. He will still be on my homepage with all I can get from his works, his music, the magic that followed his performances. However I have to say, that as I got to know, it was like loosing the closest of friends even though we never met, but I had a chance to watch him in one of the Gaithers presentation in Worcester MA

I remember when Jesse Dixon came to Jamaica. I was just a teenager then, but I was so blessed by his performance that even today he has been one of my best gospel artiste. He sang with the anointing and it was evident that he loved the Lord Jesus Christ! You have done all that you could have done Bro. Jesse Dixon and I know God is well pleased because your ministry has not only blessed many people but have drawn many people to Christ. Sleep on Brother Jesse until that great reunion.
