You can tell you like this airplane and you are sincere about it. I like simplicity and just comparing the start up procedure with another video of a TMB, looks like the M600 is a piece of cake to start. Thanks for the inside preview.

With all the computer integration, if the hypoxia safety system were to activate and initiate an auto descent to 12,000', will the computer also automatically change the transponder to xmit 7700?

Good question, Don: I've heard that the cabin is comfortable but that the cockpit is quite cramped. If true, this is a deal-breaker.

@@Allegan49010 According to Aviation Consumer, " Getting to the cockpit and seated takes some doing as the cabin is small and there is a step-over at the entrance. Seating is cramped for anyone over six feet tall." in contrast, Cessna aircraft have great headroom.

Would the Garmin descend the plane into a mountain or is it aware of the terrain and will fly a HDG to avoid it on an emergency (cabin pressure related) type of descend?
@gbigsangle30446 жыл бұрын
Nothing avoids terrain except a human. The panel can yell at you and the terrain mapping will color code it for you, but you have to fly the plane.
@2011blueman4 жыл бұрын
@@gbigsangle3044 the M600 sls has autoland, so human isn't necessarily required anymore :)
@gbigsangle30444 жыл бұрын
@@2011blueman The Garmin Autoland capability is offered in current models for the Cirrus SF50 jet and the Piper M600 turboprop (no small GA aircraft). But its for EMERGENCY use only...if you press the panic button on this you better have a disabled pilot or you will be paying a lot of money for the response on the ground, in the air and the FAA will want your to talk to you, the pilot.
@spiller2123 жыл бұрын
@@gbigsangle3044 what are you talking about? You don’t need to have a „good reason“ for declaring an emergency and/or feeling you need to engage that emergency system. The attitude you are suggesting (thinking twice about declaring an emergency or using equipment for emergencies like the CAPS or that autoland) is actually getting people killed all the time.
@speedomars3 жыл бұрын
@@spiller212 You are obviously not a pilot, or if you are have not been flying long. Declaring an emergency has NOTHING to do with surviving a crash landing. Nor does it have anything to do with increasing your chances in an emergency situation. You declare when you want to let ATC know that you will A. need emergency help if you make the runway. B. need emergency response to find you at the crash site ASAP C. need emergency traffic prioritization in attempting to make a runway Doing so will trigger a lot of manpower and resources...so you better make sure you mean it. If you make it to a runway and alive you will have paperwork to file and questions to answer. Pulling the chute is a LIFE SAVING act, not a plane saving act. What gets people killed is flying without a chute and being a crappy enough pilot to run out of fuel, not do the proper maint. on the aircraft, getting lost like an idiot, or failing to avoid traffic and ending up in a mid-air with no chute on-board.
