Winter has it's beauty. It gets very cold in the mountains. The black rocks are beautiful there. It looks like a good place to go fishing. If I went there I would try for some Sea Bass. One danger there is the Pufferfish! They are dangerous. The venom is lethal! A friend of mine got stung by the pufferfish and she was lucky to survive. She was in shallow water and it got her on the ankle. I would love to travel there. I speak Portuguese and German fluently.

Hello Richard. This is indeed a good place to go fishing, especially for Barracuda. I'm not sure if we have Pufferfish here. I'm glad your friend survived her encounter. Best wishes to you!

black rock and black water: interesting. Watching you sitting on your black rock one can feel the power and force of the waves pounding those rocks. This is Nature in the raw - beautiful moments. Thanks Rahel.

I see the clamness in the, black dark peaceful surroundings. A Pause & a sigh. As nature slows down or rest, only to start the whole cycle again. That entertains us again. My humble thanks for sharing your moments with us.🎉

Some say bears are our spirit guide. The bear rests in the nights, but also has a season of rest. Your video started me thinking of this. Could it be that humans are meant to be seasonal as well? I also recede into a slower pace with winters yawn. My cave has a few more comforts than the bear, but I hole up just the same.
@RahelStadler Жыл бұрын
Dear Robert. Thank you for this interesting and thought provoking message. I do believe that humans are meant to be seasonal and that we generally would benefit from trying to live a bit more according to the rhythms of nature. I'm glad that your cave has a few more comforts. Enjoy your hibernation😊

Nice little video Rahel! Do you ever catch any fish/crabs on your trips to the ocean? Days are short here in the north now, with only a little bit of sunshine now and then. There is snow on the ground in Stavanger now so a white X-mas is a possibility...🤞🤞
@RahelStadler Жыл бұрын
Hello Endre. I feel very grateful for receiving a message from you for every video I publish. Thank you. I personally do not fish or catch crabs but many people here fish, either from the coast or by boat and there are quite a few who fish for a living. Our weather is still rather grey and wet so I envy your snow😊 I'm crossing my fingers for you to have a white Christmas.

hello Rahel, personally i struggle with not feeling guilt when i am lazy. As an adult, it seems like laziness is only acceptable when I am physically sick, or exhausted. Otherwise, not having done something productive each and every day makes me feel guilty. It is silly, because it doesn't matter, really. But, unfortunately, living in this world, as an adult, this is how I have been trained. And, this guilt is hardest to get rid of. Yikes! Hope that you are doing much better than I am.
@RahelStadler7 ай бұрын
Hello Eve. I'm sorry to hear that you can't enjoy being lazy absolutely guilt free. There is a freedom in allowing oneself laziness on a regular basis. As you said it doesn't come natural to us because we have been trained that being lazy is something bad but there is always a way to reset a false narrative.
