The integrated LED inductor pair to detect oscillation truly is one of those tiny genius things that some people don't appreciate. Thank you Like Thank You Sooooooooooooo Much Ive been following these plasma Toroids for quite abt a while and every information i receive though indepth is ambiguous, I hace a certain learning nature that requires thigs to be laid out in certain ways and in this video you laid out evry bit of informatio I was looking for sooo perfectly. Ive long since abandoned gong the mosfet route coz as im sure youd know the moments your mosfets can boil water then that crcuit is screweeeeeed 😂 So after burning several mosfet and myself ive decided to go the vaccum tube route but the most avalable vacum tubes i have are prety much audion amplifier tubes with a max rating of 5000v but miniscule currents of i think 200ma dont even know if those values are correct cz finding datasheets on vacuum tubes is close to impossible especially salvaged one so i just take a picture and use the data sheet of whatever tube looks "physically" similar. Either way with your indepth explanation it seems ill need somwhere like 10 times your coil values to match the magnetic field density,but ill also need to drastically reduce my capacitor values. I have several of these tubes so i could probally run it parallel but i dont know the response behavior of tubes.so ill start with one then see.

Some things I would look into are some heat pipes to a heat sink from the transistors, and a transparent faraday cage tuned for the output frequencies
@sky_guided4 ай бұрын
@@kerbaman5125 issue with a faraday cage is that of it's near the device, you'd likely get massive eddy current which would sap power. The limiting factor on mosfet cooking is getting the heat to the bottom -side of the board through an array of thermal vias. Once heat gets to the heatsink, it dissipates pretty easily.

Love the inbuilt activator spark circuit using Xenon flash tech, my wonder is for people good at electronics is, how to make a sustainable plasma ball like you have with the implosion of a torus that you get in water devices like the thunderstorm generator, i think it produces a sustainable plasmoid sphere by have 90 torus going around a central torus ( this stabilises the field allowing it to build up energy ) how would you make a 90 degree toroid in this kind of setup?

Is it safe and/or legal to get a globe of Radon? Because I'm wondering if the reason some other common gasses don't work as well as Xenon is just a matter of atomic mass. It makes sense to me, anyway, that higher atomic mass would tend to spread out more from the center of the disk in a phenomenon like this, which could be why Xenon makes a narrower ring than lighter gasses.
@carterrosen75144 ай бұрын
The entire time I was asking myself why isn't this on the market, then the hazards part of the video answered that perfectly. Beautiful build, how much was it to build the final design(I saw the xenon globe you use is $300)?
@sky_guided4 ай бұрын
"How much" is a bit of a complicated question because I went through a bunch of revisions, some PCBs were sponsored, and the final circuitboard is way more "premium" than standard. I'd have to go through and tabulate, but I think the BoM price is probably in the neighborhood of $150 if you were building just one.

It's just an advertisement. They're made to be simple, efficient, safe, and customizable Based on D/C. I developed "Bahgdad Batteries" So that simple acids and bases Can be used in the Batteries and coils, integrated into a vase. I painstakingly re-created old China, like Ming Vases, Saké bottles, Silesian Pottery... etc.. for the vases, which are engraved with metals like gold and platinum... And painted with natural scenery, in glass, over shell. And, I created a system, for the creation of quartz crystals, by using vacuum pressure and controlled Sublimation, to grow crystals in geometric patterns. For the glass part, so that it refracts the light, and shows the toroid, in different areas. Cause I just do shit like that. I'll just have a whole thing going on on the side, end up selling 10,000,000$ lamps... And it's just an advertisement of the basic manufacturing techniques I practice. It's like 7 different projects, and all these people think it's like a Chinese multinational corporation, And it's just me, jailbreaking my phone, overlaying my own system, and then, creating AI programs, assigning tasks Cause I like those lamps man... That's why. Yknow? They're just nice... I'll do it, I really will. I'll make lamps, even if they try and stop me.. The best lamps

What is the approximate cost of this one build?
@sky_guided3 ай бұрын
@@QTpie-l8b the BoM cost of a "standard" driver build would probably be ~$120-150 depending on what's already on-hand, assuming you had to order a fresh batch of PCBs. That doesn't include tools. The globe was several hundred dollars for me but allegedly they're starting to show up for cheaper from Chinese vendors. For me to make the entire project cost quite a bit more -- there's many prototypes not shown, plus the fancy PCB stackup is more expensive than standard.
