Bludgeoning also allows you to dent articulation areas to lock them up.

That's certainly true, accurate dead-on strikes were still very deadly for even the most well protected knight

Significantly harder to do than you’d think. You’d generally need a solid strike from a pollaxe to reliably deform even iron a decent amount.

@@Specter_1125 It's about as difficult as I think. If it was easy, it would've happened almost every time a plated man encountered someone with a polearm, mace or warhammer. But it did happen and we can still prove it in testing.

great Video. I liked the re-enacted battle in the video scenes. Some of them had recognisable (to me) armour from the sources I've seen. Some others I was unsure about. But mainly because I'm not an expert and not on English armour to boot ^^

Hi there! The reenactment scenes shown are mainly from the Tewkesbury, Barnet, and Avoncroft reenactment events so yes, a lot of the armour is replicas of original late 15th century armour (you also get a lot of people kitted up in cheap off-the-shelf armour as well). I've made a recent video on the Tewkesbury battle reenactment just last week so feel free to check it out! I also have a Barnet reenactment battle video too. Enjoy!

Love the video, have you seen the game halfsword? it's focused on being accurate to this time period (15th century)

@@AlexTheHistoryGuy this game is the best and most accurate game set in this same time period or about the same. Very much worth trying even if it sucks your time up. (Its gonna be a huge game so might be worth making videos on armor from the game?)
