Thank you so much for going through the Skinner blend process from start to finish. I know many artists will just say, “see the link below for instructions on skinner blending”, but it was so nice to see the way you do it, and especially the addition of the extra yellow, which I had never seen before. That was extremely helpful! This is a beautiful cane, and I want very much to try doing this.

I absolutely love this tutorial. I have a little problem getting all the steps properly in a roll. So I took the plunge the other day. My skinner blend was looking perfect so I started rolling and forming the plug. Only problem the yellow seemed firmer that the blue and magenta making an hour glass form. All three colors are Fimo. Going to give it another try.

Love the variation on the layers! Did u know that a spiral represents creativity? I bet you did! Lol I have been looking all over for oval jump rings with no luck...if u don't mind could u share your source?
@DonnaKatoArt10 ай бұрын
Hello! Dd not know that about the spiral but it makes sense! Okay, here's my amazon link for the oval jumprings. Now, important thing - the opening has to be on the side. They make them on the ends (which makes absolutely no sense at all, but they do). These are correct: 2400 pieces Stainless Steel Oval Jump Rings amzn.to/3SXtf8A Note, this is my Amazon link so they may toss me a few cents (I have no idea - I have yet to make a cent! LOL) Big hugs, D

@DonnaKatoArt10 ай бұрын
The most common issue is stretching the strip out. When you do it next time, make sure the blend is contained in the short width of the strip and not with one color at one end and the other color at the other end of the strip. Short skinner blend, okay?❤️
@tsooterswan10 ай бұрын
Yes! Accomplished this morning. ❤❤
@cricketb96659 ай бұрын
First time ever trying a Skinner blend! Thanks for making it easy to follow- but I'm getting really wide sheets, not much length. I have an older Amaco pasta machine roller, but not sure how that would make a difference. All Sculpey Premo.
@DonnaKatoArt9 ай бұрын
Hi! That will happen naturally. The clay spreads with every fold and roll through. If you don’t have enough to fold, then run the sheet thru a thinner setting to give you more length. To shorten the blend, make a plug. That’s in a number of tutes! Bye! 😊❤️
@offairhead10 ай бұрын
