Yeah, a Pontiac story! I also had a 77 Can Am. The scoop on the hood has "T/A 6.6" which is the Pontiac 400 motor. If the scoop has "6.6 litre", it is the 403 Oldsmobile motor (which you had to get in California).

Re: the International cab-over: I burned out the diff in my 1955 Sunbeam Alpine MIII driving from Toronto to Cornwall along the 401 (turns out it pumped the gear lube out at sustained highway speeds, never did figure that one out), so I hitch hiked back home, (I had a junker at home) and grabbed it's differential and thumbed back to Glengarry County. Got a ride in an International rig, and (middle of summer) it got a bit warm, so I started rolling down the window. The Driver shouted , " Roll that winder back up sonny! Unless ya wanna start hitchin' agin!" Then he said, " Goddam Cornbinders! Hotter than hell in the summer, Colder'n &hit in the winter!" I still can't figure out why he didn't want a bit of cooler air in the cab. I think I've watched every Barn Find Hunter since the beginning, but this one really touched my heart. Good work, Tom.

You need to travel to east Texas, since it is cold where you're from, Tom. Specifically Tyler, Chandler, Coffee City, Frankston/Berryville, all the way past Palestine. And Brownsboro and Athens, as well. Highways 315, 155, 30, and loop 323 will provide at least four shows worth of usable footage. Many legendary drag racers of afore there, too. Get ahold of me for names and whatnot if you're interested.

Loved the episode as always, but curious why you didn't go over the ultra rare 88 fiero gt in yellow and the very rare mid 80's sunbird gt turbo convertible in blue? Both very cool cars to us that were young teens in the 80's and maybe owned versions of these cars. Not trying to be negative just wondering why they were overlooked/not talked about. Was it a "time crunch" thing for the episode? Best always, love what you all do there at hagerty for all of us KZbinrs.

I "rescued" a '67 Travelall from a small town near me and put some work in to get it running and stopping. A 304 V8, Auto, 4x4 with the factory AC upgrade and a build sheet to show it was a true survivor. Same Apache Gold that this gentleman's is. Sold it to a local guy who was going to finish restoring it and drive it. So incredible how stout that 304 is and how darn good it ran even after sitting for over two decades.
