Ahhhhh, just lovely!! I love the fact that you're getting some leads on some homes. I can feel your stress drifting away. That's the sea doing it's job. I feel that if you're in a calm environment it also radiates to your normal living style. Of course we all have to work, shop, garden, clean and deal with difficult situations. However, the calm environment makes it easier to deal with such things. I really hope you find a gorgeous, little flat there. 👍💗😁 Can't wait to watch your next episode.

Such a lovely spot hoping you’ll find your new home. Visiting folk are indeed the lifeblood of coastal villages. We need the tourism for little shops to survive. The library sometimes have books for sale very cheaply.I’m in between Worthing and Littlehampton. Shoreham and Littlehampton lifeboat stations are vital for our safety I always donate to RNLI. We are so lucky to have this wonderful coast. I’m still swimming in the sea in October it’s warm enough. My skin is tanned and hair bleached by the sun I’m your tribe 🤗🏊🏻♀️🏄🏼♀️keeping fingers crossed for you my lovely xx

Dear Vivi, I believe your sister would be delighted with this last seaside trip with you. All the beautiful shared memories, and the sound of gulls and waves washing the shore and stirring the rocks and pebbles! But even more , she would be very pleased to see this sense of peace and home that this gift has given you. The introspection, the slowing of your heart, the lifting of the weight from your shoulders. You look, relaxed. content. in the moment! .not worried about tomorrow, or what next needs doing, but just sitting quietly soaking up the sun and sand and the breath of the sea breeze in your lungs. Peace be with you, Vivi! sending lots of love from the prairies! ❤️🇨🇦❤️

For 8 weeks a year we have to put up with the tourists but i look at it as a joy to share with those living in less beautiful areas the wonders of where i am. Gig rowing is what you are thinking of. Its very big in Cornwall and elsewhere. They have the world championships on the Isles of Scilly. Its all upper body work and a very special way of using the oar and extremely physical. I did it for a couple of years and it was great fun and I went all over Cornwall competing. I love Swanage and my late aunts parents came from Langton Matravers. One of my favourite places is Corfe Castle. I hope you manage to find the new home you are seeking in Dorset and its everything you want. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Hi Vivi, it looks lovely there but I’m going to be the old boring voice of reason. Have you ever considered moving to the north to be nearer to your Mum and the rest of your family. You would get much more for your money, perhaps a little bungalow with small garden and more choice of properties with good amenities? Only thinking of your mobility and possible future operations where you might need some help etc…You could make Dorset your annual trip/holiday each year in honour of your family memories and your dearly beloved sister. As we all get older we all need people we can call upon in times of need or emergencies. Much love Dani xxx

Hi Vivi, im not ashamed to say i have 'blubbed' my way through the 3 parts of your Swanage videos! I told you previously that my brother died suddenly in 2021. I have returned only once to the place we scattered his ashes, even though its only a couple of miles from my house. It would have been Kevin's birthday on september 24th. I had planned to go and mark his special day (with him) Unfortunately courage failed me, i was feeling so vunerable and sad i could'nt go through with my plan. However Vivi, you unbeknownst to the fact, have given me the 'push' i so badly needed ! I shall go there and 'visit' Big Bro on Wednesday next, now where did i put my BIG GIRL PANTS??? The Shannon is the latest, fastest, safest lifeboat, I believe designed by an Irish boat designer and called after a river like the other lifeboats. We have a Mersey Class in my home town, but we are soon to have our own Shannon up here. Hope you’re managing to have a real rest down there Vivi, mentally as well as physically, don’t feel you have to walk miles just to show us everything, I also have knee issues and a walking stick, so I know how suddenly you can realise how far you’ve walked and how will your knees manage to walk all the way back home! That said, it’s been lovely to walk round beautiful Swanage with you thank you x

It's so beautiful there! It reminds me a little of the Outer Banks of North Carolina--and I feel similarly about the OBX as you do about Swanage. Vivi, have you considered buying a retirement flat for the over 55's? Theyre often a very good price and you would have Help on hand should you need it. They sometimes have communal areas, libraries ,laundries etc so you would never be short of company if you wanted it. It would probably free up enough money for you to be able to kick back, relax and sit on the beach whenever you want. You would have your own front door so could be as self contained as you want. Just a thought, take care.

I had to listen a couple of times when you spoke of the Old Harry Rock and Old Harry's Wife. I come from Old Harry, Magdalen Islands which was named after Old Harry Rock, apparently. It is said that the explorer John Cabot named the rocks after your Old Harry because he loved and missed the area after the long voyage across the big pond. I can't count the number of times I scurried over the rocks of our Old Harry as my mother did before me and my son did after.
