They had already nerfed the wheel deck twice in standard removing reno and nerfing forge, they didn’t have to nerf wheel too and it would’ve already been a lower tier deck

@@nicholaslu9799 that’s what I mean. It wasn’t too powerful. It was nerfed because Blizzard doesn’t like wheel of death as a win condition. It’s a toxic and uninteractive style of victory.

Sorcerer’s Apprentice with Antonidas deserves a mention as the first “Exodia” combo and now it’s seeing play with Ignite. Baron horseman was actually okay at the end of Standard rotation when they buffed From De Other Side Shaman. It was a nice alternative win if you’re facing slow decks.

I run a reno-priest list with purified shard, usually I use to copy my own cards. You would be surprise how effective it is to copy your pieces or removal by just playing them.

I played exodia paladin to great success. Climed to diamond 5 with it. It's certainly not an amazing deck, but it's definitely fun and viable

In the current meta Control Paladin is a viable deck that has good matchups into the Rogue bullshittery. I don't think it hurts much to take out three cards for the Uther combo so you have a chance against slower decks. Seems like nowadays you need a hard win con in every deck.

My experience versus Uther decks: They play Noz. I set up lethal. They have combo, or they lose. It's really boring, but I don't mind it much, because most of the time I win. Definitely thought versions that took multiple turns and had real counterplay were more interesting though.
