I would've loved to see what would happen if Khabib could use his wrestling/grappling against Gaethje Poirier Mcgregor or any of the top of the division, I'm not shitting on him btw before you say that! Do you think he would have ever win unless he got lucky an caught them as ofcourse anyone can be caught, personally I think out of the like 6 people from the 29 that were only any good then I think if he didn't have wrestling he would have been destroyed an made to look like an amateur, because be honest in a striking match & not a grappling one he'd be taken out easily! I'm a fan of him but I'm realistic in knowing that if he actually had to fight. I can't fault him for doing what he did at all, he took no real damage he got the wins an therefore getting the money! So well done for him on that but saying he is the GOAT is stupid, he is the best wrestler I've seen but when it comes to him having to do anything other than wrestler means the outcome would be as far 1 sided than you've seen before. He would've been beaten so badly an one sided they'd have ended the beating fast as hell, just imagine it though him and Gaethje in a actual fight stood up. If you tell me he would beat either him or anyone out of his last 6-7 fights then you're lying as they would have beaten the living daylights out of him, I think even Iaquinta would beat his ass in a stand up fight never mind Poirier Gaethje Mcgregor. Khabib wouldn't have even beat people to get to the top 10-15 of the division, infact I don't think he'd have been in the UFC if I'm honest because he has no skill doing anything other than Wrestle/Grapple, he strikes as good as Ben Askren could! Them 2 fighting stood up would look like 2 drunk grandfather's swinging at eachother.

Listen to each word he says. Most sentences start with 'I am'. This is followed by an affirming thought about his self-image. This is a master class in affirming your future. Forget what we think as viewers for a moment, the fact that he thinks it about himself means that there is a very high chance he will achieve what he says. Most people start a sentence with 'I hope' or 'if all goes well' or 'maybe' as if they are protecting themselves from the future not working out. The doubt in yourself is the problem in yourself. @@onward2727 has he lost a big fight? I don't follow this sport much, but I obviously have known who he is for a long time, I'm curious, don't even know if this is old or a newer interview? He seems A-LOT more humble "here" then when I recall first hearing him interview. I hear some bits of humility that he had zero back in the day.
@onward27272 жыл бұрын
@@rf3811 yup, he lost to one of his biggest rivals, Khabib. I think this interview was after that. iirc. which was quite a punch to his ego Could’ve been after that and/or after an injury, after some controversy/legal troubles, and/or after his big payday and cross-sport fight with boxer Floyd Mayweather, which he also lost (also a punch to his ego) So he’s been humbled a good amount of times now. He lost his last two fights, which were after this interview, I think Honestly, though, the tweets and statements I’ve seen of him the last year or so, are much more of the cockiness and pridefulness. After being severely injured in I believe his last fight, and basically not being the same fighter he once was, he’s grasping to his last remnants of fame and relevancy (at least in the mma world) He should pivot away from mma into commentary or acting or something haha. Or WWE. He’s built this egocentric and eccentric persona. So I’m not sure if he’s just become that character, or he’s still trying to be flamboyant and famous, or what But I do enjoy his humble, motivational and inspirational side, wish he’d show more of it

@@onward2727 Wow, thank you for filling me in, I was very curious, bc I have seen a change from when he first crashed in the scene. I agree with you, it is time to transition that big personality into something like commentating or something else. I will say I gave him a lot of credit for boxing Mayweather for 10 rounds. That is amazing. Pride & Ego can only take a person so far, one must have what it takes to back it up, (which he definitely did for a time) In general I much prefer a quiet storm where action and skill speak for itself, like Michael Jordan & Kobe, Actually great examples of amazing skill without being a-holes are people like Roger Federer and I'm blanking on his main rival, they are incredible athletes, & don't act like Rapper's.
