The wheel card for warlock is also why the badlands reno changes happened. Was basically a free turn if you had it in your hand after you played wheel, and ofc you have no more duplicates since you destroyed your deck

in a good hearthstone deck every card is free, the first card you play makes everything else cheaper, and the same can be said for the second card played, nothing is expensive, everything just flows because everything is free, there is no mana, its all an illusion

13:00 Im genuinely surprised you mentioned the spell damage version of Auctioneer Druid, because frankly no one plays it Btw max damage output is 38 (without getting an extra copy), which is not enough to kill renathal decks, so it sucks (i think i had like 35% WR) The previous nerfed version with floops gloop and forbidden fruit is way better, because damage isn't an issue

It really feels like the power level has hit the ceiling over the past few years, and now Blizzard is actively trying to break down it down so they can raise the power level EVEN higher than before. How long will it be before we start dying on turn 2 on a consistent basis, or aggro kills you at such a fast speed that you physically cannot play the game anymore? Personally, I don't think Blizzard is able to or is even remotely willing to close pandora's box at this point. Radar Detector was REALLY broken. As someone who managed to hit legend several times with Mech Paladin when it was still good, the deck puts out so much pressure that almost every deck at the time just was not able to beat it. Even totem shaman struggled to beat the deck unless if they highrolled with devolve, which wasn't often. It was just too much card advantage, too much board presence, too much power way too fast. Honestly that just sums up most of the decks that popped up since then.

That wild dorian deck is insane, I went from bronze to Legend with a 85% WR. with a prefect fraw it goes off turn 2. Without a perfect draw it might take til turn 4 , so your opponent better be the fastest agro deck ever made.

1. I swear I feel like the only person on the planet who actually likes Helya lol 2. Literally everyone and their grandma knew Pirate DH was going to be disgusting. Players warned Blizzard but they didn't care 3. Puppetmaster Dorian + Aviana is literally one of the most busted combos in the game, complimented by a class that can ramp like crazy. I am baffled they even realeased it 4. Rogue has always been problematic cause of the mana cheating. So the fact that they basically just keep giving them *even more* is insane to me. 5. Murloc Shaman is easily one of the most degenerate things in the game. 6. The saddest part is that Discard Warlock is actually REALLY fun. The MoTLK & Caverns of Time support did a lot for the deck's consistency, but Soul Barrage's existence *specifically* made an otherwise fun strategy toxic as all hell. *I REALLY wish Soul Barrage and Clumsy Steward didn't exist!* 7. Warrior was so disgusting in Titans. Literally every other match was Warrior and the sheer idiocy of letting ANY class hit you for 20+ damage basically from hand is baffling to me. And the fact that they gave them Reno, Brann, Tho'grun and *RAMP* in Perils is absurd

I relate so much with the pirate hunter looool so annoying. I play shaman murloc in wild and I can kill my opponent with ease in turn 4 to 5, evryfin is awesome is destroying. BUT, pirate demon hunter, another super aggro deck, can counter my deck just by having an decent opening hand in a way that I feel like playing an deck from 2014.

I still can't believe you didn't even mention the god awful rng aspect of Plagues since: 1) whether or not it turned off highlander was based on shuffling TWO OF THE SAME plague or more meaning you could either instantly brick highlander cards by shuffling two of the same or being unlucky and shuffling one of each. 2) FROST PLAGUE is absolute cancer and whoever thought it needed such a game ending effect needs to be questioned. The other plagues do inconsequential shit but frost plague makes your next card cost a whole ONE MANA MORE. This can literally brick your turns and force you to skip your turn and lose. 3) playing helya as soon as possible was mandatory cause you could end up with your highlander opponent drawing all the duplicates of their plagues before you drop her 4) the deck is an aggro deck that easily floods and controls the board with powerful AoE effects and at times 0 mana 8/5 rush minions with reborn 5) the deck also had major aspects of RNG generation of extra plague cards which made playing around helya with steam cleaner useless cause they could just generate more random plague creators Fuck thag deck and its god awful randomness, I just wanted to play highlander paladin

Stranglethorn Heart also sees play in Wild Beast Hunter to rez Tundra Rhinos and infused Shadehounds, and I think it's a fine card for that purpose. The big beast package is weak, but the card itself is not.

@@yousukeatagi8073 Yes. You can't treat it as a 1 mana draw one because you get a 1 mana tax/dead card when you draw it again. The card needs to actually contribute to your gameplan when you play it. Heck, 1 mana draw one isn't even that good sometimes, to the point where even Arkonite Revelation is not an auto-include. If you have enough draw, you want cards that actually do something rather than just draw. Wasting your early turns drawing cards is how you lose to aggro.

@@DvirPick It was a hyperbolic question. But yeah obviously running a tradeable card just to trade it is usually very silly (the exception being cards with on-trade effects). The point is that at the end of the day being able to pay the mana tax to find a potentially better card is a privilege, with the alternative being that same dead card being stuck in your hand e.g fire sale vs. hellfire against a combo deck. Even if it isn’t dead the entire game like in that example, the plan is for that card to hopefully not be a dead draw if or when it comes back around e.g drakefire amulet on 3 mana. The keyword is so universally solid, in my opinion, that it’s hard to call any of the cards truly *weak* , outside of some exceptions.

I actually loved odyn and hope he gets reverted. Wild is entirely too fast, 8 mana odyn is actually beyond fair considering combo wins by 5 and aggro tries to win by 4. I wish control priest would get something like odyn that makes all the control cards better. Odyn was chief kiss. He will be missed
