I think one of the most commendable things about Tick is that, even despite all the constant meta-shifts, Tick has always remained in the B-tier for several months/years at this point, never being overpowered and rising above B-tier, but never becoming too underpowered either and dropping below B-tier, which technically earns him the title as one of the most balanced Brawlers in Brawl Stars, in my opinion.

Tick is my main brawler, and a mistake I see a lot when other players use Tick is that they tend to quickly unload all its ammo to throw the mines at the same spot, you shouldn't spam your mines like that, it's always better to spread them, and always keep one ammo, just in case. If the enemy somehow avoids the 9 mines you threw at the same spot, you won't have any ammo to stop them from getting closer to you or another teamate. Also, when you have your super available try to throw the mines behind the opponent and then use your super. They will have to make a choice, whether take the damage from tick's head and continue to run towards you, or turn back while trying to take out the head and take the damage from the mines you just threw behind them. If they don't manage to take out the head, it'll explode and push them into the mines. That's the best way to cycle supers. You can also do this with your last hurray gadget and push them into the mines, but you have to be careful.

tick is arguably the best zoner of the game. BUT one thing people dont consider is that he is also one of the best support brawlers, instead of focusing on chip damage, you can focus on limiting the mobility on the map of a brawler a teammate is fighting. This is hard to explain so I'll say an example: Imagine you're playing in belle's rock, your teammate is a piper on mid, you're a tick on right and there's an enemy angelo right below the red mid bushes. If you shoot to the left of the angelo, (unless he decides to tank the damage, even though that's risky) he can no longer go left and he's forced to either go right or up, if he goes up that makes piper's job easier, thow mines up. If he goes right, prevent him from going down, you might think you haven't really archieved anything but compare angelo's position on the map from mid to right lane, it's way worse. essentially, this playstile proritizes 2 things: 1. limit how the enemy is able to position themselves on the map, putting them on disadvanteageous positions on the map 2. through the first step you facilitate tammate's ability to get damage or even take down the enemies aslo one tip against tick isnt just aggro brawlers but aggresivity in general, if the tick is starting to pressure you into getting further away, do the opossite also try and waste as much amo of him as possible. But be advised that this could backfire if the tick's teammates are adamant on protecting him. also also, some may think that in the previous scenario the right play was to throw mines at both sides of the angelo. This could work but you'd run out of ammo really quickly and wouldn't be able to support your teammate

I've always found it quite puzzling that tick seems to be widely used (mostly on modes he's horrible in but that's a different story) despite his playstyle seemingly being made to repel the common brawl stars player, being comically passive and slow compared to popular bursty brawlers like edgar and dynamike. maybe people just look at his zoning potential and the rare occurence of being able to deal 3000+ damage with 1 attack and have some kind of divine revelation.

My hot take was that Tick is perfectly fine, yeah sure getting spammed from a distance while also having choke points getting locked down is annoying, especially when they have extra cover from walls, but Tick has always been really easy to kill, even if Tick has the Gadget and Super, people say it's unfair he has two things that negate his weakness against aggro kinda like Piper, but unlike Piper where especially the Gadget l almost always act as a "get out of jail" free card, you still have to time it right and know when to use both, for example the Aggro brawler could bait out your gadget, or if they have decent range destroy your super before it can do any damage, and shit if you're a Tank and there's a wall nearby which there usually is since Tick Hugs walls a lot you can tank the damage and prevent being knocked back too far thanks to staying near said wall

And i won t lie but last hurrah need a small buff and that would be just instead of 50 % 75 % or at least 60% . Hear me out : Tick health is so low that 50% damage reduction barely feels when other deals over 3000 damage per attack. Ok sure you block 1500 of the damage but if you was already low then the gadget is wasted 😔. 11:54 most annoying brawlers for me are most of the recent brawlres, like Clancy killing you in less than a second with his super even if you're tank or kit who stuns you for too long and finishes you off with his main attack if there's no teammates close and dominates solo showdown, lily, who instantly kills you if she hits her super and you're under like 6k hp, berry is annoying but not so bad since mostly he's like a barley but who can heal himself into oblivion but still annoying and larry and lawrey who were so op they completely broke meta for atleast a few days and now they're pretty weak but still annoying.

Berry creates a paradox. If he’s on the enemy team his attack lasts 60000 years, but when he’s on my team they don’t even last half a second Also, larry is far from weak. They’re probably the best thrower (or second best, after barley) AND can deal with aggression or tanks easily. The main attack will never not be broken, alongside dealing some decent damage.

Tick is annoying, i can't argue that, but it's also annoying as the Tick player when you die to every single aggro brawler in the game. If you don't have your super you're pretty much a sitting duck. Last hurrah definitely helps this, but you only get 3 of those. And about Tick's defensive options, they are irrelevant against the brawlers who kill you before you even get to use them. For example, Kit and leon with invisibility insta-kill you. Fang and lily super insta-kill you. Mortis is unkillable. The most interesting thing you said is that with the defenses Tick is difficult to kill without strategy. That's how the game should be. You shouldn't be able to look at a brawler and completely negate the entire character with a single move. The game is supposed to be played with strategy. Good video 👍
