Dear Lord, yesterday my heart was troubled. My brothers didn't include me in their time together. I tried my best not to get mad because I've been trying my best to get closer to you but it was hard to get thoughts of sadness out of my mind but I thank you for your help LORD that because of you I overcame. Please pray for my broken broken family. My ex husband and boyfriend at the same time molested my kids. Yes I did something about it and put them in jail. I'm a great mom because I went through even worse and my mom is still with the guy who did it. I promised to always protect my daughters unlike I was. My youngest was running away and getting in trouble but I know its because of God she's better now. My oldest has severe OCD and it's so bad that she cant live a normal life and it effects us as well. It seeps over onto us and makes us all crazy and fight. I'm tired of living like this. All I wanted was to live a peaceful life with them. I'm never letting any man around us again. I work hard and protect them always. But when are we going to be able to live peacefully everyday? When are we going to laugh? Or just have a somewhat normal life? I just need prayer please no judgements. Also pray for me to stop hating these men and for it to stop robbing us our lives.

Amanda, no judgments...only compassion. I have multiple people who are close to me who deal with severe OCD and I know how impactful, devastating and hard to deal with it can be. I also know many who have experienced the type of trauma that you and your children have experienced. It takes a long time to work through and overcome the kind of trauma you all have been through. I will pray...one thing I would suggest if you haven't, since you mentioned it...try to incorporate things like comedies or things that will make you laugh or bring back memories of happier times. None of you may feel like doing it...and it may only make a difference for a lit bit at a time, but every time we laugh it releases endorphins in our bodies which make us feel better, even if the effect is only temporary. I know from first hand experience it can help and at the point you are at, even brief respites from the pain and turmoil is better than none at all. Also, here is a link that you might find helpful with practical steps and helpful messages that can help. I also want to share a link to one of my best friends pages on facebook. She went through the same thing with her son who has many special needs including OCD. She might be able to help with advice etc. Her heart is to help others as well.
