I used to walk my dogs in wycollar, lovely place. Also, the walk from Wycollar to Haworth passing three reservoirs is stunning 👍

That first bridge was very narrow maybe duck's or swan's crossed it 🦆🦢 I bet witches were dunked in there aswell ? Probably when it was deeper. Looks a creepy place which I love most 👻👍

Nooks by fireplaces were usually used for fuel. Unless set up to make it possible for a pot boy to turn a spit without getting roasted by the direct heat.

Visited Wycoller some years ago. Have never been to a place that made me feel so uncomfortable that it was a relief to leave. Some dark ju ju there

Very interesting thanks. I tried to visualise Charlotte Brontë visiting there- it must have been a lot more comfortable than it looks now. It would be lovely to see a reconstruction of it, wouldn’t it?

My Husband and myself walked to Wycoler from Oakworth and back again. At the time we were staying in a caravan park situated behind the pretty Oakworth Station. It was a very hot day, and we'd forgotten to put sun lotion on before setting off, (we didn't make that mistake again ) we both ended up with sun burn the hike was worth it, though just to see the pretty hamlet.

That would make sense, narrow at the bottom to stop the logs falling out but wide at the top so you can grab them easily. I think you've solved it, I'll have to let them know!

Where is this and what makes you say it’s haunted just because it’s in ruins doesn’t mean it’s haunted,it is beautiful and should be brought and rebuilt to the original footprint .

I would tend to agree . Not all ruins are 'haunted' , but i would recommend you visit the place. Then you might understand.
