Most likely what's called a "hump yard" which was used for switching cars but I thought all had been closed down or the hump was removed

The brownie line has significantly increased kCS and bnsf activity as UP kinda has drawn back. Bloomington yard you can catch a ton of action

@@railfanmaximstill7279 KCS announced they was going to build a yard near where I live in Jerseyville Illinois about 5 years ago but it was contingent on the completion of the highway 255 extension which all but done. I’m wondering if the CP purchase is going to change the plans or not.

Thanks for watching! While KCS was bought by CP, I believe CP and KCS are currently operating as separate companies. There are issues the STB still has to review before an official merger.
In the back ground of one of the first shots you can see a welded rail train it was out in Douglas and villa rica for about 3 weeks doing work perhaps the orange maintenance vehicles were just back after finishing up out there

With our MoW equipment none of them have knuckles. They are all loaded on flat cars, usually only if its over 100 miles though or they will travel them

I disagree. A Rail fan is known as a foamer. Also we have an extraordinary amount of rules and protocols to follow so unless your in a safe area. Just stay away and watch. I personally have no problem shooting the shit with someone about it, but safety above all.
