Hey, really appreciate your videos they're top notch quality and very helpful. I am impressed by how many tools you use, and know how to use, to create your projects. I'm wondering how an independent developer is able to discover new technology to use in their projects - either frameworks or dependencies to actually build the idea, or tools to help out with workflow. Are there certain resources or websites you follow in order to find out about these? Do you find out about a new tool and try to find a way to work it into your project? Or is it more like, you are working on a project and find yourself needing something so you try to find the perfect tool for it? No worries if this is too much to answer, thanks again for your videos!

I concurred. I used to use SourceTree for git GUI before. But then it hit me with frustration thanks to how slow it is because SourceTree keeps calling git status periodically to display the files' status on its UI. And for a big project, that is insanely slow. So I tried out the command line and never looked back. git commands are very intuitive and well documented. I was very surprised at how blazingly fast my workflow had become when I switched to the command line. And now I don't need to waste my hard disk space for installing the bloated app anymore.

Awesome video 👌😍., I'm bit confused which one to use fish or zsh..! Any suggestions on that..?!
@devaslife3 жыл бұрын
fish has nice built-in features so you can use it without intensive customizations like oh-my-zsh.

Do you configure such git aliases in your fish config as well? Or only inside a git directory? Thanks for the video, I didn't know about tig until today. Besides that, what does the $(git rev-parse --abbrev-ref HEAD) command do?

Hi Takuya. Firstly Thank you for the video. Very informative and helpful. I wanted to ask you how to do you move to a specific line in git command pager as you do at 13:18 on your video timeline. I can go up and down a line by j and k keyboard shortcut not sure how to go to a particular line and select that line just by vim keyboard shortcuts. Any help please

Sorry I don't understand, do you use the alises with vim fugitive or only with console? I really don't like to write capital G commands like -> :Git add ....etc..

What you hear in the background is the original Japanese version. The English voiceover was recorded after. I think he leaves it in the background, so people understand why the flow of English version is not as smooth, as it’s simply a translation.
