Would it not be better to also roll off all frequencies above 20kHz? as this is also not in the human hearing range.

Above 20 kHz is outside our hearing range. If we reduce noise in that frequency, we can't hear any difference. Whereas 20Hz - 80 Hz is inside out hearing range, but we do not generate that frequency while we talk.

@@MasterEditor5 I understand this. But if 20 kHz is outside our hearing range why do we still need to include it in our recordings?
