Positive projective identification is a often forgotten aspect of psychoanalysis and is quite controversial but it remains interesting and clinically pertinent regardless of it controversial aspects.

Could we consider it “quiet love?” A manner of co-regulation? Makes a lot of sense, it’s a very loving parental role, by “cushioning” emotions and reframing them to educate.

Yes I think we could conceptualise it this way even if Celani frames it as the mirror process of Klein Projective identification.
