It was 60 years ago when my parents took me to Benidorm, father was a "document-keeper" and I found the receipt for that trip, also the exact hotel in the Old Town (hotel still there). Small hotel on a corner of the Old Town. Benidorm had no "tourists" back then.

That's a 10+ all day long! Absolutely spot on food! Curry had depth, and the chips were home-made. Can't ask for any more than that. Far better curry than the last curry you reviewed (from Corner Bar, I think). Really enjoyed this upload, and some great footage of Benidorm. 👍

Receipt shows April 1961, travel date 17 June, 1961 to Benidorm. Flight Belfast to Kent then France, coach transfer to Benidorm 18 hours later. Apparently you can fly direct these days?

We went to Sherry's bar last September. Had the Ploughman's lunch because I thought it would be light ( for lunch). Well, there were 2 great thick slices of ham and beef and 2 pork pies as well as the usual salad stuff. My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw it all! I only managed to eat half and took some meat back home in a container they provided! Sherry's is DEFINITELY the best place in Benidorm. My hubby will be having that T-bone steak next time we go. Another great vlog Lee. Word? " Modest" I think.

I’ve spent hundreds over the years mate wearing Nike trainers if not more, got myself some ASICS gel ones just to walk the dog as they were cheaper, about 60 quid. Absolutely the most comfortable trainers I’ve ever worn hands down Lee.

plus you don't have to put all through the books! My Auntie ran a shop she had a till that registered a sale and another "till" under the counter! for those sales that HMRC couldn't get their hands on.Recently just came back from spain and some bars doing a minimum of 10 euros with a card.

I think more because they don't want to declare it and pay tax. 2.5% card handling isn't gonna kill a business, especially in food and beverage

I went to Benidorm 2019 Lee didn’t find the old part so next time will definitely go and take a look. The weather looks fabulous too. Sherry’s Bar 29:35 looks really nice too am pausing my blog to see what the meal looks like. That meal looks awesome so will wait now on your score but I know mine already. So let’s go with my score a definite 10. The t bone steak 29:40 also would be a 10 just on the looks. Size 13 trainers you won’t fall over in a hurry will you now !! Regards Keith x

We we’re told for many years don’t go to Benidorm it’s like Blackpool on steroids & we would hate it!!! Came for first time 7 years ago & we absolutely love it…been 7 times since…will be over in mid April looking forward to seeing our second home…great videos…gives us some great options to eat out…cheers

Depends what you do in both resorts. I personally do lots of walking and exploring in both.I don't do the nightlife in either nor sit in a Bar all day drinking. Some people go to either to do that but others don't.

tried Shelly's bar for curry two weeks ago. Your chicken curry looked a lot better than our beef madras. Our beef appeared to be sunday roast leftovers cut up and put into the curry. Didn't like the chips either, to big and soggy. Oh well, cant win them all.

Sold 2 homes in Turkey last year & returning to Spain, no-brainer. As British Northern Ireland we can have an Irish Passport as well so we got those. No entry restrictions, stay as long as we like.
