"Sica" is one of Puerto Rico's Folkloric rhythms. The patriarch of Bomba & Plena, "Rafael Cepeda Atiles" was Manny's Uncle who taught him the beginnings of his musical lessons. Manny now pays tribute to his Uncle and the Rhythm of "Bomba/Sica" on his original composition "A Puerto Rico." This arrangement is set for a small Afro-Cuban band comprising 2 Trumpets, 3 Saxes (Alto, Tenor & Bari Sax), 1 Trombone, piano, bass, and Afro-Cuban Percussion (Congas, Timbales, Bongos/CB, and Drum Set.
