Thank you Rasool. As a little kid, under the influence of the village elders, I looked at you as an inferior artist. Then, you fled the village and were forgotten. Now living on the other side of the earth I feel grown enough to appreciate your contribution in keeping our suppressed culture alive. I am so thrilled that I see you are still in good health. Long live master.

And I am so glad that you have not forgotten your roots. It is so easy to melt in the melting pot. Azerbaijani language and culture stood up against decades of systemic suppression from the central government in Tehran. It is now thriving.
