Great review. Website says 1.5yr warranty, compared to 2yr of BE or Steiner. From what I've read DBAL's can have QC issues with the plug as well. This seems like a great alternative to Perst-3, with form factor and styling similar to Perst-4. Definitely going to keep an eye on this and would love to see a follow up vid in the future touching on durability. It says IP68 waterproof so hopefully thats true. Glad to have discovered this channel, appreciate all the reviews!

See what I love about my perst 3s is that both the laser and Illuminator have like 5 power levels that can be adjusted independently. I usually run the illuminator on fp and the laser on the lower level. Unfortunately it weighs as much as a t-90 turret and the beam focus isn’t fast.

Awesome video! Question for you; your crane port issues, did you have issues having the crane port male connector sit entirely flush without any protrusion of the male connector on these units? My M6TR doesnt allow my unity axon crane plug to go in all the way no matter how hard i try to push it in. Wondering if you had these issues as I'm concerned under recoil, the remote switch could lose function.

My axon did not sit in all the way but functioned when you push it in enough to bottom out. It seems like they went with a shallow port, probably to allow for the different tolerances with plugs. I didn’t not have issues (until the port failed entirely on unit 1)

I got a gen 1, which is awesome with some quirks, just got the gen 2 into the shop and grabbing one, haven't had a chance to test it yet but so far it looks like they fixed all my issues and concerns with the gen 1. I would highly recommend this for any one looking for a full powered laser that's 1k or under.

FYI, Cold Harbour Supply has an exclusive version with an eye safe pointer than runs at 0.7/5MW (illuminator is still 2/30). Should solve the issues with bloom on high and comes with a safety lockout screw.

Unfortunately, it's actually not ideal for use with a clip-on night vision device. It's not very noticeable, but there's a slight swirl to the illuminator that causes some artifcating at distance and under magnification. This was tested with two PVS-30s and a PVS-27 and it lead to some target spotting/ID issues. It's the single downside of the M6TR.

I had a question for you I'm looking at buying one of these as my first ir laser but I'm not sure which one to get they make 3 different ones all the same on the outside but they make one that is a low power only class 1 laser which I know I'm not interested in from my research but the other two I'm torn between. They make the regular low/high power one that has a laser power of 2MW on low and 30MW on high but cold harbor has an "eye safe" model where all the specs are the same they just lowered the power of the laser to 0.7MW on low power and 5MW on high power. The reason they say is to prevent bloom under NOD's the only other spec that was different on the "eye safe" one was the illuminater on low power was stronger then the full power one the "eye safe" ones illuminator on low was 5MW compared to 2MW on the full power one other then that they are the same. So my question is does it matter? I really wanted to get a full power laser for my setup but I keep getting conflicted arguments some people say that these FP units are way to bright and bloom so bad they aren't usable so get the lowered laser power version. But on the other hand people say you absolutely want the FP laser for pushing through light sorces and that the laser on there unit on low power is just fine and there is no need to get that "eye safe" version. What do you think and what is your m6tr's power rating in this video? Sorry for the long comment but I really don't know which one to get.

@@miniatures1 for illuminators. You want as much output as (reasonably) possible. You don’t need strong lasers with gen 3 NV, in fact you need to be careful. The version with strong illuminator and lowered laser output is probably the route I would go.

Some guys get there lasers in 10 months some 2 years he’ll even know a 2and a half and I’m at 18 months now because he gave my promised unit to a buddy who’s an influencer whom already was given mk4 but wanted another…. He didn’t know I knew him but thing is you just gotta get lucky and he has to see your name when he finishes a laser and hope to god it works and treat her like a princess if your a nobody!! He has no list of order for wait time that’s why some only wait 10 months he simply goes by who’s screaming the loudest!!! I was nice and kind to him for the whole thing until he sent an email saying how he doesn’t want to be wrong or do that to me for the 100th time and gave me a dead accurate time frame and promised….. but certain important person knew mine was coming in that date and somehow it went to him!! lol now I’m an asshole and that’s how you treat him!

@@patrickbowman8841 not necessarily, holosun LAMs have been proven to be pretty reliable. The only thing people haven’t liked is the lack of output of the illuminator. With the new iris they’re utilizing vscel so hopefully the output and quality is better. If it is it’ll be a pretty good option for the estimated price of $899 also considering the size of the unit and the new UI.

I can't bring myself to pay true MAWL or NGAL pricing. PEQ is just ok for $2k. All the clones largely suck. Until now, the best options IMO/for me, have been the DBAL D2 or perhaps the DesignateIR-V...but for almost 2x the price. I think this M6TR is likely the best VIS/IR Illuminatorn for the money out there right now. Excellent quality build, clean and bright (DBAL D2 level) IR illuminator performance, smaller/lighter, and setup for future light head option/upgrade. Crane port for compatibility with my remote switches. For $800 less than the chunky and heavy D2. $900 less than the Designateir. The M6TR also comes with a pretty nice quality remote switch. If you can handle CCP made and an 18 month warranty, the M6TR is the way to go. My D2 will likely become my secondary setup.

@@4MRRanch There is gap in laser market, no high power illuminators available at reasonable prices. When VCSEL, not just because it's VCSEL, just because it higher power for civilian lasers is possible. When more options available on the market. Why would you buy laserspeed? It's not cheaper, not lighter, no filters. Any reason at all? btw the high power on these laserspeed is useless like you pointed out, because no filters available. They will disappear very soon.

@@lortetiI highly doubt that. I think they are swinging for the fences at this price point. My only concern is Chyna. I’ll probably stick to a d2 because of that.

It’s crazy this is considered a budget laser, and $1k is a lot of cash for an accessory, but consorted to the $4-$5k lasers out there, this thing is a steal
