The shaykh mentioned clearly at the beginning that there is a valid scholarly difference of opinion on the issue. This clip is simply to illustrate a point in the discussion of whether it is an obligation to cover the woman's face that perhaps some may not have considered. The angle the Shaykh was coming from was that the majority of jurists hold the view that the entire body of a woman is considered 'awrah (something that should be covered) in relation to a non-mahram (a man who is not closely related) except for the face and hands.[Mousouah al-Fiqhi al-kuwaiti (31/45)] From them are those who permit the showing of the face yet deem the feet awrah which should be covered. Fear and obey Allah! The creator of your husband, do you wish to obey the slave and disobey the Master? Tell him he found you like that so he should leave you like that

Amazing. How does someone find a sister wearing niqab and gets married to her, only to tell her that he doesn't want her to wear niqab. I would advise you to observe your husband carefully. Is he someone that truly takes islam seriously, praying, fasting, reading Qur'an etc. If not he might be the one to lead you astray . و نعوذ بالله من هذا

We have not considered that not covering the face is a mercy to women. Allah swt hasnt commanded covering the face from his mercy and wisdom. I agree with the Shaykh, may Allah have mercy on him and be pleased with him, that there is more beauty in the face than the feet, but covering her face is a big thing to ask a woman. She will be hindered in breathing, eating and talking. I think these are just things where we as men have to lower our gaze more, and have mercy.
@yuwyu48413 ай бұрын
I agree. I think either way is allowed. In the end hijab was not created (only) for the benefit of the man, but the woman as well. At least the even more attractive parts are being covered properly, but for the face? Men should still practice proper self-control and lower their gaze, not just that women have to cover up so that they are gaze-proof or something.

the niqab also serves as a barrier (physical and metaphorical) for the woman wearing it! :) an example of this is in the sahih hadith found in sunan at-tirmidhi 2278 and it narrates that: Umm Salamah reported: While we were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, Ibn Maktum was given permission to enter. He entered and that was after the command to veil. The Prophet said, “Veil yourselves from him.” I said, “O Messenger of Allah, is he not blind? He cannot see or recognize us.” The Prophet said, “Are you blind such that you cannot see him?” --- even though ibn maktum (ra) was blind, the wives (ra) were still commanded to cover themselves regardless... but why is that? bc the covering of the face is not only for those who can see the woman, but it helps with increasing her iman! it helps with increasing taqwa, preventing the woman from the temptation of tabarruj, lowering her gaze, wearing the proper hijab, remembering Allah more frequently, be respected, not objectified, lowering the risk of being harassed, and so many more things 🫶🏽 also, as a munaqabah myself, breathing and talking is legit not a problem while wearing the niqab 😅 for the eating part... theres ways to get around that, but we're not eating as often as we breathe or talk so it's not much of a problem but i dont think these are the real problems, but more so the fear of judgement and the fear of being ostracized in our society, workplaces, and families which is very scary for anyone والله أعلم may Allah increase us all in iman, taqwa, and aid us in becoming more steadfast 🤍
@justsumdude74373 ай бұрын
@zecookie I didn't consider that social aspect. I definitely see the benefit of veiling the face, even the eyes, especially in reference to iman. And as for the social fear, I've heard of that and I find it sad that someone might want to veil themselves more but won't due to the fear of judgement. To your dua Amin. And may Allah rid us of fear from anything but him.

@@canyouhandlethetruth8682 الله أعلم! i see in riyadh as saliheen that it was narrated by abu dawud and tirmidhi, and classified it as hasan in the sunan of tirmidhi it was classified as sahih and al-albani classified the hadith (sunan abi dawud 4112) as daif im sure they each have their reasons for classifying them as such, but since i am not knowledgeable about isnad, sanad, and the science behind the chains of ahadith, i believe it is best to leave it to those more knowledgeable than myself! maybe one of the ahadith are more reliable than the others in terms of reliability of the narrators, there could be multiple different narrations that all share the same meaning, and etc 😔

Allahu alem but there are dalils regarding both openions. We go by dalils if it is solved by our thinking eyes are the most beautiful in the face. Even women who cover their faces keep their eyes open. Because it is going to be extremly difficult if they cover. Face is beautiful but more innocent than the feet an the other things (in terms of sexualty) becouse other things are like decoration for a woman.Allahu alem.
@MarcusReynolds-js8ys4 ай бұрын
The fact that the feet need to be covered is not a dalil. The face needs to be. We go by dalil, and we have dalil and no doubt that covering the face is better, and her husband should ask her, but it is not wajib. Saying its wajib would be declaring billions of women as Fasiqath also and cause so much hardship and Allah is the all wise This life is a test we can't have it everything easy
@egyptomar62123 ай бұрын
Declaring billions of women as fasiq is not a dalil that denies it's wajib. We go by the dalil which is quran and sunna and not by whims. Imagine one day wine has become so popular That billions of Muslims do it Does that make wine halal bec we can't declare these billions fasiq? Or like now music is very popular and billions of Muslims listen to it So we can't say music is haram because billions do it ? That's not how things work We don't follow the masses we follow the truth And no , uncovering the face doesn't make these women fasiq bec there is difference between scholars' opinions. Most these women think covering the face is not obligatory so they don't do it and this doesn't make them a fasiq. A fasiq is someone who do major sin while knowing its a sin.
