The pocket on one of my models keeps coming out, what to do? I would glue it in place, but I need to remove it for access to a screw for the base keeper plate

Hey there, Gluing the pocket would be a bad idea as you have pointed out, the base keeper plate screw and often a body screw are under where the pocket attach. When you look at the pocket you will notice that the dovetail that attaches to the locomotive or tender isn't symmetrical, as one side has a bevelled or chamfered edge. This side should go into the body first, with the flat side being the one visible when looking at the underside of the body (meaning the dovetail would appear to cleanly mesh with where it joins the loco chassis). You should try the pocket each way up, it should be much more secured one way than the other. If it is loose in both orientations then you may need to either get some replacements, or use a temporary solution such as blue tack. Hope this helps!
