Fascinating! I'd never heard of the Kenbak-1, and I am a builder of an original IMSAI 8080 back in the '70s, which still works and is in my office. I think I'll get my hands on one of the reproductions and have a play with it. The nanoKENBAK-1 is very reasonably prices, so it's a good start. Thanks for the tutorial and intro to this early bit of computing history. It's terrific that people are building replicas of the old historical machines using these modern microcontroller so everyone can experience the history of computers.
