Hey thank you but when I put the alarm on for zone 4 upstairs whenever anyone enters the property the alarm sounds after my hubby comes home from nights. Basically how can I get more entry time?

lol I used to have one of these with ONE sensor. I also had a bell box with an actual bell in it!

I hope you can help. This was installed before I bought the flat and have been using it for a few years. When I was leaving the flat the other day I must have hit the wrong number and since then I've been unable to use my alarm. I am unsure if I accidently changed the number by mistake? I've been looking at the manual online and have tryed to reset it but had no luck. Any ideas?

Hey bud like your dry sense of humour and video. Ive two questions that I can’t find answers for. My alarm is installed in my garage. Can you tell me how to reduce the volume of the alarm please as mines too deafening also my alarm goes off near immediately as soon as garage doors open the PIR sensor picks up my body heat, goes off and before I can disarm it. How can I give myself 30 more seconds to get to it to be able to disarm it without it going off as if I’m a burglar? Thank you.

First of all, you probably want to open up the panel and put the pir on zone 1, and for the timer, you’ll have to look at an engineer manual

Hi mate, I've got the optima XM6 and turned the main fuse board off for most of the day due to work being done but when I turned the board back on the control panel on the alarm no longer works! The red power light is on but nothing else. I opened it up and it has a battery inside connected. I went to disconnect the battery but then the outside bell box went off so I reconnected the battery again and the alarm stopped going off! But I still have no function on the panel apart from the red power light which is still on!! What do you think mate, what should I do??

I’m looking at removing an optima XM, I’ve bought a house with one installed and don’t have the code. Tried to unscrew the panel which set off the alarm. I quickly disabled it by removing the fuse to the box isolating the power supply. If I open the box & remove the battery will that mean the alarm won’t go off as it’s got no power to sound or will the alarm be wired into the mains? What’s the best way of disabling (without a code) and removing the whole unit & internal sensors from living room etc. Hope you see this, Thanks!

Depending on the age of the bell box, it might have a backup battery in it, the panel has a battery and the mains supply, after disconnecting both of them the battery in the bell box would activate the bell

Try : 0123 which is the default manufacturer code for these panels, as the previous owners may of reset the code back to factory defaults through the menu as I learnt the hard way once.

Turn off all power and just rip everything out, should be fine to do on an old panel like this.

i have the Optima XL6 but i broke the screw hole on mine so the cover wont screw shut anymore but never mind as i will probarbly find a fix for the cover to keep it closed.

How do you pair it with a telephone so when alarm goes off it rings your phone to let you know? I had it previously but I changed my telephone number.

The panel itself doesnt do this, what you need is an auto dialler which immediatly calls your phone when the alarm trips.

Hi, I think its probably a tamper fault if its an intermittent alarm. Do you use the alarm or not?

@@jakemcintyre4820 . Thanks for your prompt reply Jake. No I don't use the alarm, but it has been going off almost everyday for the last couple of weeks. Very annoying. It got activated last night 1:00.

@@nomanaziz8248 well if you take the cover off and unscrew the wires from the transformer, on the 12v side, not the 240v side the system should power down. The wires should both be white like in this video.

The bleeping on my box is sooo low how to i increase the volume?

Take the cover off and there is a little black square marked 'VOL' insert a mini screedriver into the middle of this and twist it the way the arrowe indicates to the desired volume.

@@jakemcintyre4820 hi... when I took cover off the tamper alarm went off and was loud... I check the volume and its turned to the max to the right... however when I put the cover back on the volume decreases again so low..... confused .com lol

@@mightyone8733 try setting it just under max, sometimes if they ate set to max and turned too far it shorts the circuit and puts the volume to low, so try turning it just under max and it might become louder.
