A quick looks at the Asics Skateboarding Gel Splyte Shoe C/O Dead Air Radio

We were lucky to each get a pair of the Asics Skateboarding Gel Splyte just prior to the shoes release, and here's what we have to say about it.

Had the same issue with pressure on top of the foot. Re-laced it skipping the third row of laces and they feel great now. Worth a shot

These look sick. I’m subbed to a couple Japanese skate review channels and they reviewed them. Idk what they were saying exactly, but they looked sick. Idk if I could wear them, I have big wide feet too. That spot in the forefoot is tight in halfcabs, so much so that I’ve hardly been able to wear them enough to break in

Love how ASICS looks in clips 😍. They need to make a skate line of clothes (ex: Nike SB, Adidas Skateboarding.) I know skate clothing can be wack, but I think ASICs could pull it off since the aesthetic of the products they make are always clean

Yeah, it’s definitely weird. New balance doesn’t really make skate apparel either.

I tried them on in shop and went with a half size up, but I'm definitely gonna relace them and wear em casually for about a week.

I could see em having a good half life but I would want to break them in for quite a bit it seems to want to skate in em.

I think you’re being about as honest as you can be with your review, but as opinionated as y’all are about everything, if you werent getting boxes from them, you wouldn’t be skating them. All I think of is that all the school cheerleaders are the only ones to wear ASICS when I was in school. And the logo is just as bad as a cariuma logo. Just my thoughts but I’m sure most will agree

I love what asics is doing, and I’ve mentioned it in prior episodes, doing northern co and Matt town only wearing asics. It’s hits the nostalgia button for me personally. I love how this shoe looks but it didn’t fit me. Mitch and I both were hyped to get them and just as unhooked they didn’t fit us. Cariumas image is worse than their logo, it’s how the brand is constructed that really makes them lame.
