im sorry but is the type 100 mentioned in the japanese rifles the 7.62version of the m1 garrand copy made by the navy? or was it the type 100 used by both normal ground forces and paratroopers? if so, they weren't made specifically for paratroopers. it's just that paratroopers had the type 100 with foldable stocks.

Also the M1 Garand Copy is probably the "Type 5 Arisaka" that you're talking about
