Me I have loved your dark purple shirt that you decided to put on throughtout this war regarding 1John 5:7 (Johanine Comma). Anyway, thank you for the effort. Indeed that's the most controversial verse in the New Testament.

Here’s my confusion. Why do people translate from the Latin to the Greek? So we’re basing the Greek translation off of a Latin translation of an earlier Greek version? Seems to me the Greek version should be copied from the earliest Greek versions we have. What’s the point of making a Greek version of the Vulgate or a Greek version of the AKJV? Kinda backwards isn’t it?

It's in the original that we no longer have.

Bobby, what evident do you have for your claim that it is in the original that we no longer have ? If it was in the original, why don't we have evident for the "original", that the first readers of John's letters read that verse in John's Epistles ? We have tons of their writings, defending the tri-ad being of God, but we never never see the Early Church Fathers using 1 John 5:7 to defend their doctrine that God is a Trinity. Can you answer why the Christians who did read the originals never used this verse to combat the Gnostics ?

That’s what I love about the argument, I watch it for entertainment! Case in point, your comment. So I gotta know. Are you serious or just jerking this guy’s chain? At first I started laughing then I thought, what if he’s serious? LOL!

There is evidence that the *_Arians_* from the city of *_Alexandria_* removed the passage from the early Manuscripts since a lot of the Father of the early Church made mention or quotation from parts or almost the complete passage, even very ancient *_translations in other languages_* have the passage. The problem is that there is a *_real interest and effort_* from the *_enemy_* trying to use heretics people like them, and also nowadays using the *_Critical Text modern translations and translators_* trying to *_remove_* the verses and passages referring to *_Christ's divinity, Holy Spirit's gifts like speaking in tongues_* verses rendering like: *_"translation of tongues" instead of "interpretation of tongues" as indeed the _*Greek_* says and NOT as the *_LSB_* bible translation assumes. These are just some examples of what the *_enemy_* has been trying to do in his effort for *_"removing"_* verses and passages as he did using the *_Arians_* in the past, and nowadays using the *_Critical Text modern bible translations and translators._*

The oldest manuscript of the New Testament is the Original Ancient Byzantine Koine Greek Text at 320 to 3:25 AD
@allangibson849429 күн бұрын
And that is completely missing the Johanine comma (along with the entire verse). As he said - this is the earliest Greek text with it in (and quite probably a back translation from the Latin).

Dwayne Green there's enough historical information and evidence that proves you wrong. Without v7, the Greek grammar in vs 6 & 8 would be wrong. Why do you let the devil use you to spread his lies.

1 John 5:7 may not be scripture but it is canon. James 2:21 is scripture but it breaks canon.

The Majority Text edition, which is the book on his shelf that says "THE GREEK NEW TESTAMENT" in white on a blue background with white above it, says "Οτι τρεις εισιν οι μαρτυρουντες", and the rest of the verse is in a footnote, with the only witness being the TR. It's not in the many old manuscripts that the edition is based on.

Hey Dwayne. I recently uploaded a recording about some major problems I have with modern textual criticism. I don’t allow comments on my videos but if you ever get five minutes to listen and respond I’d greatly appreciate it. If you do listen and reply on this comment it’d be much appreciated

2 John 7 - For many deceivers have entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. So, from a doctrinal standpoint, 1 John 4:3 is legit, even though the text is not there in some manuscripts. Catholicism teaches that Jesus did not "come in the flesh" but instead was beamed into our reality. Read the _Infancy Gospel of James_ and see that, according to Marian doctrine (Perpetual Virginity) Jesus could not have been born in the ordinary way but was instead born as a spirit. Jesus came not by water and blood but as a spirit, according to mainstream Catholicism.

People think of the word of God as equal to Jesus, and that is wrong. No problem with the verse if teh word of God means just that ie the word of God. The verse did not mention Jesus.

@@georgehilario3544 Yes Jesus was created by the word of God like any creature. also see that word became FLESH, not Jesus. that is the creation.
