Also with a quarter ounce jig head slight tension back on the rod Pop it Forward the current will pick it up whereas at 3/8 is a little too heavy I've been fishing the Ohio River and the Kentucky River for about 50 years

Used quarter ounce slow down your retrieve and you'll still bump the bottom and you won't snag up nowhere near as much

Any idea when we could expect a boat ramp open between lock 7 and 8? Highbridge has been closed for almost a year now,I'm itching to get back into dix river.

No way. They closed the private ramp at high bridge! That’s a sin. I won’t stand it!!!! Long way to go to find out it’s closed!

The river needs way more access up and down from Frankfort. There's not a ton of places to bank fish.
