A quick UPDATE of my current thoughts on the UNEEKOR EYE MINI

Hey Joe, not only did the firmware drop, but also on the PC, a new version of the Uneekor Launcher, and a new version of View as well. It doesn’t look like the connector was updated and so far the version of view that runs on the iPad has not been updated. can’t say as I notice anything different in the software other than the version number changing. It does appear that automatic alignment using two golf balls is much quicker more confidence that it’s right. EyeMini Firmware is now: 2.3.26 Launcher is now 1.9.10 view is now on 2023.12.14 Third Party Connector is at 2023.11.20

Nice! It's good to see they implemented all of these. I've been using them as well in beta! What I have noticed with the new firmware is I haven't seen a massive misread!! Or I'm yet to... Keen to get back home and really use it to see if that's just coincidence or if they have fixed that issue as well.

Thanks Joe for the hardwork and really you protected our investment in to the uneekor eye mini, regardless that most of us won’t notice the slight difference in the club and ball speed that spin axis was a bit off the planet. I’ve downloaded the firmware and updates and will give it a go. Once again thank you for all your testing and being the first to bring the issues to light. Thanks Joe for the indepth review on Eye Mini. 3months ago, you compared it with GC3 and you mentioned many issues from Eye Mini. Do you think the previous issues especially vs. GC3 have been addressed fully? I'm about to order one of these two units so your feedback is invaluable. Thank you again!

Hey mate really sorry for the late reply! So yes I have done an updated video talking about the club and ball speeds and they are now perfect! The only issue I’m seeing now and this only popped up after the recent update is a slight right bias spin axis with wedges and partial wedges. Uneekor have confirmed after watching my video and testing themselves that they see this as well and are going to work on a fix for it. Right now I think the data with the gc3 will be more accurate but I also think Uneekor will fix this and the whole ecosystem now that Uneekor is building is quite incredible and can’t be ignored! Hope this helps! Also check out the eye mini lite if you are just using it for a home set up. Cheers

Cheers mate! Yes this new update is great and I'm really happy to see the ball and club speeds fixed! I knew they were wrong when I first got it... I can confirm they are great now. Also I haven't seen a massive random misread for a long time! I don't think I've had one on this now current release.

great to hear. I have the mevo+ and it is just full of issues and requires too much room to use and setup is really time consuming. I use it outdoors in my back yard and setting it up every day is a chore. Photo based system is what I need and this fits the bill perfectly! @@JLagGOLF

No that's really odd I haven't experienced that! Very strange.. is it consistent? Or just randomly every now and then? What colour tee are you using?

@@JLagGOLF haven’t used a tee yet just hitting off the mat. It’s consistently a very low distance. I reverted to the older firmware and it still hasn’t changed. I’m thinking maybe because I don’t have club markers on?

Hi Joe, I have the eye mini, but also have the PRGR that I only really use for (The Stack) speed training. Still on old version of firmware of eyemini and there seems to be a significant difference in clubhead speed between the 2 units. Do you have much experience with the PRGR? I suspect the eyemini is more accurate than the PRGR (excluding the random wild misread of the eyemini)?

Hey mate I have the PRGR and use it a lot! It's a fantastic device and is a lot more accurate than it gets credit for. Once you do the firmware update for the eye mini you will see they are both now extremely similar! Cheers

Indoors, do you think the Eye Mini is more accurate than the Mevo Plus?

Yes! Absolutely. I personally think indoors Camara based units beat radar units.. I work with radar in my actual job and it's fantastic for some things.. I can go waaaaay in depth with the explanation 🤣🤣 but for me I'll always choose a unit that has cameras for indoor use. Radar has its place but just those two units I'd take the eye mini or eye mini lite anyway!

Hey mate thanks! It still amazes me the reach my channel has. Yes I believe now it really is worth it! I was very concerned when I first got the unit... The random misreads and also for me more importantly the club and ball speeds not being correct really annoyed me. I'm really happy that now after a lot of testing and beta versions the issues have been resolved. I haven't done any testing with the current version as I'm currently away for holidays but the beta build with that number was fantastic. I will be doing a full in-depth video when I get home. But as far as value for money they hardware is fantastic the data now is fantastic! Also the whole ecosystem you are getting... The view software is incredible.. I'll be doing a full in-depth video into that as well. It's really well thought out and pretty much everything is there. On top of that the ability to add the swing optix and balance optix. It just offers a lot of value and function that a lot of other companies don't have. How that helps! Cheers

​@@joecotter8636 I absolutely have this in the cards.. I'm currently away for the holidays but its killing me that I can't do this video. Now that it's out what I can tell you..... Spoilers ahead 😂 the ball and club speeds are completely fixed! They are now in my opinion usable! Lol and what I mean by that is that the smash factor number is correct. The other thing is helps with is the correct carry distance! I'm finally seeing accurate carry numbers using GS Pro as the ball speed numbers are good. Since using the latest version in beta as well I haven't seen any massive random misreads however I really need to do more testing with it as my sample size isn't as but as I would like. I'm really keen to test the actual stable release as I still had something I was concerned about and reporting through to Uneekor... Cheers
