You are referring to crimping a ferrel on to the stranded wire i think. Yep I know you can use Wago's without doing this, but because I will be taking this on and off various wires to test different cables I thought it would be best practice.

​@@StuffIMadeI agree, I prefer to use them to avoid any loose conductors causing a short, it also helps to protect the small delicate wires - though that isn't as much of a concern with Wagos.
