I love how the entire sequence from 7:56 onwards is going PARALLELLY for the two characters!!! Such awesome cinematography! The brother and the sister both walking to the alien, both picking up weapons from their right, and both killing the monsters while the man and the mother watch from behind.... its so beautiful how these scenes were put together

An amusing movie but ultimately silly. I can't imagine a creature attracted to noise lasting very long. I mean I can think of several traps using sound to attract and then kill these creatures. And then there's the whole special frequency to drive them mad thing. Reminds me a bit of some of the 50's monster movies where the creatures were defeated by headlights or some random thing.

Jesus christ this comment section is making me lose braincells For all the people who thought that humans wouldve found out about the monsters weakness earlier: THESE THINGS TOOK DOWN A WHOLE TOWN IN MERE MINUTES IF NOT, A FEW HOURS. They made the whole town go silent in the beginning of the movie in minutes. I wouldnt be suprised if they took out the military or 75% of the world population in 1 day. Also, to those people saying that tanks or high caliber snipers would be able to kill these things, please think about the capacity of those two options A tank is slow as sh!t and very loud, the tank would be lucky if it could even look in the direction of the monster because these things are already bolting at 300mph towards the tank. A sniper is also useless since they need to LOAD a high caliber sniper, which involves a lot of noise and they cant hit a target thats running hella fast at them. Air support or the air force is the only one that has a chance, but even then, they need to land and refuel, which would be impossible since as soon as theh get close to the ground, they are getting jumped

High frequencies are far harder to tell the exact location of because the sound waves bounce off so many locations so fast that it sounds like it's coming from all around you. And they likely haven't dealt with those frequencies ever so they have no defense or way to counter or even process it.

I needed to say this for the longest time...as always, the movies get the details wrong. Deaf, hearing impaired, etc ones, would have the highest possibility of being killed off compared to their hearing counterparts, since they cannot hear the noises they make as they navigate their lives. The monsters would find easy prey in the hearing impaired people, not the way the movie has it. Hard of hearing, hearing impaired etc would not be a super power survival move as the movie puts it, but would be an ABSOLUTE liability in these circumstances. Right right right right right?? RIGHT!

No, their hearing is sensitive, yes. But they dont have human ears. they evolved this sensitive hearing because their planet had very little if any light, not because it was quiet. They likely encountered a similiar or higher range of volumes to earth as they evolved. So their tolerance for loud sounds, at least low frequency ones, would be greater than that of a human.

I loved A Quiet Place, both movies, really... but still I find it hard to believe that an apparently low number of these creatures was able to destroy the entire world. They can't see shit, and I don't think that their skin is so hard that a high caliber weapon can't kill them
