I would say that the reason for ignorance is there’s a disconnect between mankind & God’s word. It’s what I call a Constitutional Disconnect: meaning that the founding fathers wrote that all men are created equal however they did not live up to that decree. And as humans we try to interpret God’s word in a linear/ literal sense when its not written that way. And I a lot of people pull away b/c there’s too many different denominations from Catholicism to Methodist to AME. But maybe that’s the case to better express the body of Christ from culture to culture?

Funny but not funny. They were brought up with parents or in homes that did not study the Word either so as children they were not exposed to the Word so they grow up ignorant of the Word. Many do not have a Bible or have one unseen somewhere on a shelf, and do not even go to church. Many have a Bible but depend only on the Pastor to teach them, and many pastors do not teach but inspire or arouse a temporary emotional high that last until the end of service and back next Sunday for another high - going to church but not being the church. There are few in the world who exemplify or live the Word, or they are not publicized for it does not sell News. It is not just studying the Word but applying the Word, bringing it to life in our own lives and in the lives of and for others. Finally, many are called but few are chosen. Thus that poll is not surprising to me. We live in a society that publicizes "success" to be reachable without the "blessings" from the Lord God. So many do not believe they need God to be "happy", or actually think that God does not exist or a figment of someone's imagination. Time to pray and fast more for the world, and shine the light of God within us with good works so many would glorify Him and get to experience Him. Experience is the best teacher. Continue to do what is your part. Some plant, some water ,and God knows the increase. Peace, blessings and love.

We love Pastor Jamal, but we need Pastor Bernard back on his own three times a month. I think Pastor Jamal is better on his own message and Pastor Bernard is better on his message and the two come together once a month, BUT NOT EVERY SUNDAY - NO - SOMETHING WAS MISSING AND IT WAS THE INDIVIDUAL MESSAGE - IT GETS LOST BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE - JUST BEING AUTHENTIC - But each man is powerful in his own right. There is something that comes with wisdom and age. and there is something that comes with youth. These two men have great perspectives but it is different. Some of our group members have been here since 1998 and well Pastor Bernard delivers a certain way. And i love that Pastor Jamal is so transparent.
