This song "Jiya Jale" (My heart burns up in love) is originally from a famous 1998 movie named "Dil Se" (From the heart). The song lead is in Hindi while the choruses of the song are in Malayalam.

You guys need to stop judging Indian music through western prism... And Indian music is much much deeper and detailed to the western style of music which can not be explained or trapped in boundaries... Lastly that was not a sitar but a sarodh.. And there is a huge difference in the both.. Look up sarangi which is the mother of violin
@undplulucf

I agree. You guys come off an unintentionally very offensive sometimes. Jazz doesn't need to be 'Indian jazz'. ugh.
@sandeepsandhu4286
@sandeepsandhu4286 5 жыл бұрын
Karan Singh Dude the one who needs to come down from the pedestal is you. All I said was they need to not view everything from their own prism. May be you are happy to cast yourself in their mould, not me. It's about time the world starts learning more about our culture and traditions, much like we have educated ourselfs on theirs. The moment someone tries to point that put, people like you come wacking your adjustment nonsense!! Learn to take some pride in yourself without being arrogant about.. Exactly what I did to be lectured on BS that needs no explaining!!
@anangsen
@anangsen 5 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Sandhu's comment is full of unnecessary aggression and unfounded paranoia. Stupid.
@sandeepsandhu4286
@sandeepsandhu4286 5 жыл бұрын
xxx yyy Aggression /paranoia - since when did giving an opinion and facts become aggression and paranoia? You reading my comment , being overtly sensitive and perceiving it the way you do is beyond my control!! Since we are in the topic - The world hasn't stopped looking at India through their own prism for the last 70 yrs if not 200 or more.. And when people stand up and respectfully advice not to do so - people like you stand up and call it unnecessary paranoia and aggression. Tell an Italian all their dishes are nothing but pasta, or tell a Turk he/she is nothing but a arab or tell an English a very generalised version of England from how you see it - they will all clear your misunderstanding right there and then...and rightfully so.... Which you would call paranoia or aggression or both. It is only us Indians who will mould into others way of thinking in the name of adjustment...and start picking on the messenger than understanding the point being made respectfully.. P/s these guys have been doing reviews of Indian music for quite sometime now and you would hope that they be over the" it is different" stage by now and start getting things right!!
@undplulucf
@undplulucf 5 жыл бұрын
S Sandhu I was actually supporting your point. MGN might do better by saying "this is cool and sophisticated in a way thta i don't entirely appreciate" rather than treating it all as one genre. The current reviews are slightly reductionist and a little offensive. Anyhoodle, I'm not going to engage in trolling here. ✌
