I have a few potential questions for Chris; 1. What made him want to do this show/what was the pitch like? 2. What was it like on his first sting? 3. Any female predators? 4. Who was the most disturbing in his opinion? 5. Did he ever have someone come in that was a family or friend? 6. Has this affected his mental health at all? 7. Was there ever an occasion of someone trying to break into the sting house to steal something? Not even there for a decoy. 8. Any random people just show up to the sting house that had nothing to do with the operation?

I think one predator was someone he know, if I remember correctly, it was an acquaintance that he knew that rode the bus as often with him. And I think another time there was a predator was actually related to one of the crewmen, I think one of the security guards? And I believe he tried to use his family connection to get out of trouble but failed.

For Chris: The predators are always men. When the decoys are female, the predator is a man. When the decoys are male, the predator is a man. Do you consider this an epidemic of sorts, and how can men (fathers, teachers, coaches, etc) challenge this culture to protect boys from growing into predators? (Note for y'all: of course predators can be female, this question is specifically about the show and the sting houses - Chris's experiences.)
@ichigo.42ga3

I can't believe that there wasn't any sort of bias in choosing which predators to pursue. It's so easy to find perverts of any demographic online. Is he implying that cis male predators are more likely to fully take the bait? Because there really isn't less women predators.
@The-Autisto-crat
@The-Autisto-crat 4 ай бұрын
Male predators strike anonymously far more often than female predators Female predators are more likely to target within their social structures. Family/friends/students. (Ofc males will do this too) I think it has something to do with how each gender's sex drives are fueled. Gross either way.
@PlatinumPunani
@PlatinumPunani 3 ай бұрын
@@ichigo.42ga3 I believe that has actually been addressed. Apparently female predators are far less likely to take the bait or meet. I wish I knew where I saw that clip so I could link it
@___Lyric___
@___Lyric___ Ай бұрын
@@ichigo.42ga3yes. Males are more likely to take the bait. And yes, statistically, there are more male predators than female. This isn’t equal in any way. There are absolutely not “just as many women”- there’s no evidence to support that. In fact research into crime statistics confirms that’s not correct. Women make up on average between 3%-8% of total offenders. It’s not even close. It’s like saying there are just as many female killers as males, that’s not correct either. There are crimes males are more likely to commit, and there are crimes women are more likely to commit-SA is not one of them. However, the female predators there ARE don’t go for random targets. They, unfortunately, go after targets they know where as the males are more impulsive- which is why they caught males. Men also go for victims they know, they’re just also more likely to take an easy random target as well while a female predator is less likely to take a random target.
@SaphireXari
@SaphireXari Ай бұрын
@@ichigo.42ga3 actually, there’s a clip from Del that says otherwise (she played a lot of the boy and girl decoys, and was a frontline chatter on the computers and phones working with Perverted Justice). • Her exact words, with regards to catching all male predators and no female ones, was that it was “not for lack of trying”. They absolutely did try to attract female predators (it would have been sensational television, since part of the show is demonstrating the sheer variety of predators out there), but women simply were not biting. • There was one instance where a preacher predator said he wanted to get his GF Phyllis involved but he showed up alone so ppl thought the GF wasn’t real. Turns out she was real but they could never prove if she actually chatted to the decoy or whether it was just the preacher pred pretending to be her.

My question for Chris would be "What do you think is a sensible punishment for the predators? Does he think the meager time they were sentenced to was sufficient?" I'm sure he's had more time than most to ponder these predators actions, motivations, and potential for repeat offending so I'd like to hear his honest opinion on the matter.

Basically to avoid entrapment, the decoys never initiate the conversations, and the decoys never initiate any sexual conversation. Everything is started by the predator, and the decoys just subtly continue the conversation... It's only entrapment if you make them do something they weren't going to do on their own.

You have no idea. My ex-brother in law is a ped0, and he still remains gainfully employed with the same employer that I have. My sister divorced him as soon as their 4 year old daughter confided in her that whenever my sister would leave the house to care for a dying man in a hospice situation, the father was repeatedly attempting to r@pe her. He walks today as a free man, even with mountains of evidence (including CPS interviews and physical exams), because in order to have him charged and incarcerated for his long list of crimes (which included 8 counts of 2nd degree r@pe) my 4 yr old niece would've had to directly testify against him in court. Nobody doubted he did any of the things she said he did, but because of your right to question the person who is making the accusations against you, he is free. Her PTSD is so severe that she had a mental breakdown and couldn't participate in court, so they just acted like nothing ever happened. And because the system is so effed, everyone thinks that his freedom means we're all liars. Meanwhile, my niece requires extensive therapy. The only blessing in this is that my sister has full custody, and there is a protection order where he isn't supposed to come anywhere near them. Still totally free though. The system is designed to protect ped0s and actual criminals.

Questions for Chris from a small-town news reporter: What life event put you on the path of exposing child predators? What is the prevailing theme in occupation for predators that you’ve noticed? Is it more common for predators to show up and just walk in the house when they think it’s a 12 year old girl over a 15 year old? Is it easier to catch predators of little girls or little boys? How many predators show up with weapons on their person or in their car? 1/10? 1/4? What is the most number of predators you have caught in a single sting operation? Out of all the clips that never made it to air, what was one that you wish could have been shown on TV?
